horror movies

Apparently there is a scene in that where he is forced to have sex with a toddler. I think I'd prefer a snuff film. Though I'll probably see worse if I get the job I am trying to get lol...but still.

dare i ask where that job would be?

A Serbian Film, I saw it and I just wanted the 90 something odd minutes that I wasted watching it. I was so angered by it I had to escape into the Lovecraftian maddness that is In the Mouth of Madness and The Unamable.

Oh I've just been trying to get into the police for so long lol. But I after I get in I want to specialize in crimes against children.

oh... i can assure you that you will see some things that cannot be forgotten. i used to work at a printing factory, and making the true crime books were bad enough

good luck getting in though

Be afraid! Be VERY afraid!

exactly. the company is using a quote that sam raimi used in his book as proof that he gave up the franchise.

i think the only reason sam is suing is to make sure they dont ruin the films

Nope, never heard of Video Nasties.

If Netflix has it, I think I'll watch A Serbian Film. If it's about a retired porn star doing porn because he's being forced to do with by some psychos, and if it's supposedly one of the most brutal, disturbing films made, I gotta see this and decide for myself. If it's not as disgusting as people make it out to be, I will be sorely disappointed and unimpressed with the general population's opinion on what's too much.

Yeah, I've come across many a film where all the reviews were "the sickest movie ever/the goriest/nastiest/traumatizing film ever to splatter the screen, etc..."

I watch it and... shrug? Are you fakkin kidding me? Think it's just a bunch of hype to get people to go see the movie.

Example: not a horror flick, but Apocalypto. Read the reviews on how bloody it is and how wretched, etc... I saw it and have seen FAR worse.

A Serbian Film is up there. Someone above mentioned the baby rape scene. That's where I drew the line at unwatchable. Just plain yuck, doesn't get sicker than that. Made me REALLY uncomfortable. I kinda fast-forwarded over it.

question...

alrite i know everybody fucking hates insane clown posse and psychopathic records and juggalos. i grew up a fan ICP and horror-core rap... anyways this here is a music video with a few of ICP's label-mates: Boondox, twiztid, and Blaze Ya Dead Homie. theres some some badass clips from what looks to be some kind of old B-rated horror movie. my favorite ones where the dude kicks that motherfuckers head clean off lol. does anyone know where the scenes are from?? :clown:

its always a ploy... back in the 50s and 60s cinema boom, theyd have some really goofy things to promote whatever god awful film they were playing. theyd have skeletons on wires moving above the crowds, theyd release pungent odors, have people in costume walk around the crowds...

oh wow, theres actually a ton of movie clips in there... some i recognized immediately (like the chainsaw and blood splatter was "pieces"), and some ill have to think about... so far theres "dead alive", "pieces", "dawn of the dead", "street trash", "devils rejects", i cant remember the head kicking one though :dunno:

If I may quote Bruce Willis.

:rofl2:

Not necessarily a horror but Primer made me feel uneasy. Something about duplicates and dopplegangers creeps me out. Anybody have any suggestions in the doppleganger department?

'Event Horizon' is one of my all time favorite sci-fi horror movies.

I just saw it. It was ok. It was "sphere" meets "doom". too bad it was too much sphere and not enough clastrophobic and hellish. But good concept!

i could see the appeal if you saw it in theaters. both you and i didnt, but everyone i talked to (including swallowmewhole) did.

if i watched it as a kid, id probably think it was pretty scary. for a "major" release, its pretty good

You are right. I hoped it would be a REALLY scary film, but it wasnt (with my standards). But you are still right, and it is a good film.

I think it's just called Mulberry Street. I watched about the first... 40 minutes of that movie and turned it off because it was too tacky for me. The trailer made it look decent, but it really wasn't very good.

Not here in the UK it's not Harley my dear. It's called Zombie Virus on Mulberry Street.

Check the Amazon.co.uk link for proof incase anyone is thinking I am telling pork pies (lies).

http://www.amazon.co.uk/Zombie-Viru...4D46/ref=sr_1_1?ie=UTF8&qid=1336188547&sr=8-1

I guess it's just another one of those movies where in the US it has one title and in the UK it has another title. Kind of reminds me of Lucio Fulci's "Zombie Flesh Eaters" the UK title and the US title is "Zombie 2". I blame the marketing clowns for the title changes myself. They should leave things well alone.

in harleys defense, i myself have posted several films with dou tags... most recently "black christmas/stranger in the house", "i spit on your grave/day of the woman"...

i myself HATE the multiple names, but its all about the $ to american hollywood. during the 70s and 80s, they would release a film in different parts of the country under different names. they would do this just to see which title brought in more money... of course.

in my opinion, i agree lucio fulci was disrespected and discredited when they changed the title of "zombie 2"
