I think you really misinterpreted his post. He was simply saying that people were going to flock to you because you were a female. It had nothing to do with the fact that you didn't know many people. This board is predominantly male so any time a female is discovered, she tends to get attention fairly quickly. That was the point he was trying to make.
I got to tell you though, if you plan on sticking around here, you've got to find a sense of humor somewhere. People here are rarely rude or dickish especially towards the gender with a vagina.

I'm not sure if I would get along with anyone here in real life. With a lot of people on here (Namely Chef), I get the kind of feeling where, if I met them, I'd get raped.
