Well I will off to work like any normal day but in the mean time let's see the why's and whatever happened insights and predictions from our best political coverage here in Freeones.

Karl Rove just peaked his little head out and predicted a Obama landslide...

(CNN) – John McCain and his aides are still banking on a come-from-behind victory Tuesday, but the GOP's most famous political strategist has already called the race for Barack Obama.

Karl Rove, the man widely credited with engineering President Bush's two successful White House bids, is predicting the Illinois senator will take the White House in an Electoral College landslide, winning 338 votes to John McCain's 200.


By the way I am an independent who voted for McCain, even though I still believed that he was going to lose the odds are just so against him, he was put out there by those repubs to be sacrificed in the name of Bush.


Why do I think McCain is going to lose this:

1. the economy was the last straw that broke the camels back and it just pissed people more and Obama and the dems were political masterminds in diverting this anger towards Bush, McCain and anyone that is republicans,

2. Independents some or a lot that voted for Bush second term, felt betrayed by his politics abroad and are "getting it right" by voting for Obama=change and better aproach to the world.

3. Latinos has just have enough of being step on and beated and blamed for everything by every right winger radio host and the GOP and they are going for Obama even if they don't trust teh guy.

4. Young voters have turned out in numbers probably like comparable to the 60's because Obama's hot and cool and they are against the war and most of everything that represents conservatives that have been in control of eight years and failed policies.

John McCain is a essentially a good man who was definitely pushed into the blender by the republican establishment. He had the incredible misfortune of running in the shadow of the Bush administration and that, ultimately, is (oops....not yet....will be his undoing).

I'd tend to believe Rove....he'd sure be a good one to gauge these things.

Karl Rove is a douchebag. And a criminal. I don't care what he thinks. He's responsible for winning 2 elections which have put in place the most incompetent and ruinous president since Herbert Hoover.

It wouldn't surprise me if several Attorneys General bring a lawsuit against him and Karl spends 2010-12 in a Fed Pen.

Oh BTW those have been my ideas since the begining of this and this economic crisis not Rove, the only thing about Rove was the landslide thingie..let's see how many commentators use any of these when explaining why he lost.

Very, very true. The GOP lost this election due to the Latino vote. Now if these backward thinking GOPers get their heads out of their ass and appeal to the Latino voters, then the Obama machine wouldn't even be close.

Young voters will always appeal to the popular candidate regardless of issues. This is the information age, and the candidate with the most $$$ will always control the media. The Obama machine is testament to that.

I always respected John McCain, unfortunately, he never had the full support of the GOP. It's definite time for a change in the GOP.

Very, very true. The GOP lost this election due to the Latino vote. Now if these backward thinking GOPers get their heads out of their ass and appeal to the Latino voters, then the Obama machine wouldn't even be close.

I've said the same thing here several times.The republicans are doomed to be in the political wilderness indefinately unless they reinvent themselves and broaden their appeal beyond the aging almost exclusively white voting block they have depended on to get over 50% for so long.The only answer I ever get from republican supporters is some silly answer about how they don't care about what color or ethicnicty people are that vote for republicans.They just don't understand politics I guess which is 1st and foremost about winning elections.

What do you expect it was a matter of political laws of physics (I came up with this one myself) you see for every amount of equal ***** that you apply to the country in one direction be it left or right it will eventually push back to the opposite direction. i.e. 8 years or Bush and the Republicans pushing to the far right, the country had enough and it pushed back to the far left!
