We shall see Jason, but so far, UF looks a little distracted... it's VERY hard to repeat, and need I remind you Bama had a lead on UF going into the 4th last year before a great comeback from Tebow. Embarrassment to the SEC? Bama built the SEC and is build to take down UF this year in a rematch. BTW, Ingram, Upchurch and #1 ranked RB out of prep last year Trent Richardson are Bama's feature backs by committee.
Embarassment is harsh but come on it was Utah. We will see.. I'd like to see ingram and upchurch go up against a top notch SEC d-line and LB core like Ole Miss'. All they have gone up against was a shreded Virginia Tech LB core. McElroy didn't have to do anything late in that game against VT. He just handed it to Ingram. We look distracted? Not to make excuses but demps had a 103 degree fever, hernandez had flu like symptom, spikes had tendinitis.. so For us to still win comfortably against an SEC team.. It's a win. Which you can't say for USC and BYU. Remember we still got Tebow who will fight his away to a championship.. Let's see what Bama has on offense then we will see who can come out of the west. Don't look past AU either. We got our own worries with FSU.
Newsflash: Last year's Utah team was very good and finished #2. We shall see, the SEC schedule is coming up... UF has it pretty easy this year, a trip to Baton Rouge is the only real test I see as UGA is not what they were a year ago. The SEC West will be brutal with all teams except MSU capable of winning on any given Saturday.

I'm shocked they are ranked at all. Sorry, but they aren't that good. No offense but USC blew that game more than the Huskies won it. We'll see where they end up at the end of the season. If I'm wrong, I'll be the first to apologize to you.
On the other hand, Houston took it right to OSU in the house that Boone built in Stillwater and just plain whipped 'em. If Houston can somehow beat Tech this weekend, they have a legitimate shot at going undefeated this year. I'm not predicting it mind you....just saying it's quite possible (look at their remaining schedule).

you are totally right. huskies win two of the last fifteen and they are in the top 25? give me a bloody break. plus, usc has had an inexplicable loss to an unranked team for the last four (or five?) consecutive years.
the top ranked teams all put a pasting on totally insignificant teams, giving us no idea, really, if florida is at the top of their game. i was a little surprised to see that notre dame didn't make the top 25 - i guess if michigan continues to win, they will...

I think we should both wait to see how the Eagles do against Kansas and how the Cougars do against Texas Tech. If they both win....OMG what a scenario that will set up! It's premature to assume that will occur in my book. It's entirely possible they will both lose to very tough Big 12 opponents. I'd be ecstatic if they don't though!! :thumbsup:
C-USA has always been a stepchild conference. This could enable the entire conference to make a giant leap forward....we'll see what happens next Saturday.

Yeah I hear what you are saying it is possible I would like to see it kind of like TCU and Utah from last season but like you said they are a stepchild conference I mean you have your Tulsa and East Carolina but that is about it i mean Houston is showing a lot of promise and Southern Missis always good for 6-8 wins a season but that was well put I know it was Virginia that Southern Miss beat but they were down by 17 at the half,but it is Virginia other than that i think Houston can hang with Tech but if Kansas jumps on Southern Miss early it is over but you know that by the way Congrats to Texas I did not see the game but a ten point win Good Deal:thumbsup:

Sorry bro i am trying to figure what team your a fan of?? I thought you were an FSU fan but here it sounds like your talking about the SEC.. Good Thursday night SEC game this week. Ole Miss at South Carolina. One of the only SEC thursday night games. Everybody is talking about how Ole miss is overrated this that and the other thing.. Mainly bama fans but we shall see.

I figure them to go 8 and 2 in conference and wind up tied for second.
One game I'm worried about for them is this weekend in Palo Alto. Stanford's a solid team that might catch the Huskies in a classic letdown situation coming off a HUGE win while also looking ahead to Notre Dame in South Bend the following week.
The thing is though, Jake Locker, the best QB in the Pac 10, only played one game last year, Washington's season opener, a game they lost to BYU on a very controversial excessive celebration penalty at the end of the game.
The kid who replaced Locker was hopelessly overmatched playing Div I football. Willingham spent the rest of the year walking around in a cloud of defeatist gloom and the team picked up on it. So forget 2008. This team can only be judged by what's it's accomplished in three games this year.
I agree. Beyond his physical skills, the guy's got great leadership qualities.
