Rick Ankiel, reason #122,723 of why there is no such thing as a pitching prospect. :1orglaugh
I hear ya.
Prior and Wood are on the list, too, right?

baseball is my other pride and joy.LOL, yeah, I can't give up on my cubs either. But this happens to me every year around this time. MLB is my 3rd favorite after all.
I hear ya.

No, even worse, they went downhill after they established themselves in the major and had millions of dollars invested in them. :1orglaugh
Although I think Prior was paid a lot from the beginning.
1st place on July 30th...4th place by August 11
5 and 15 at home since the 4th of July
From 13 games over .500 to 1
16 games without a starting pitcher getting a win
Their fifth starter hasn't recorded a win since May 2nd
6 for their last 89 with runners in scoring position.....
Tonight: tying run at the plate, 1 out, bottom of the ninth, Pierre hits a pop foul, the runner at first sees the ball is clearly foul and easily catchable but takes off for second anyway and easily gets doubled off first to end the game :1orglaugh
Farewell and adieu yet again to the Dodgers,
Farewell and adieu for the 19th straight year,
They used all their luck up on Kirk Gibson's homer,
And won't win a ring 'fore the Cubs do, I fear.
i wouldnt either, but i only have so much hope.I wouldn't count Cleveland out just yet.
Jose Offerman living what many have probably dreamed of doing, charging the mound with the bat. (what a whacko)

I'll always remember offerman for his many throwing errors. The Dodgers just wouldn't give up on having him be a shortstop. He had years of 42, 35 and 37 errors at that position. Once he became a second baseman playing for other teams, the errors naturally went way down. I was surprised to see, that he stole over 40 bases one season. :dunno:
he still plays? i mean there is a team that wanted him?Jose Offerman living what many have probably dreamed of doing, charging the mound with the bat. (what a whacko)
