You know I most likely wouldn't agree with Rep Cheney about much but I will say I respect her strength and decency in sticking with the truth.

This state Senator prayed for "about five or 10 minutes about how I'm going to try and address the body in this issue." His deity then revealed this to him: “The Three-Fifths Compromise was a direct effort to ensure that southern states never got the population necessary to continue the practice of slavery everywhere else in the country.”
Why was this even coming into a discussion in the legislature? A bill to block the teaching of critical race theory (i.e., teaches that racism is ingrained in American institutions) was on the floor. He seems to have missed the discussion on the Compromise during his stint in school, since his statement isn't even close to the Compromise's intent.
He needs to find a better advisor.

A suggestion to the few rational members of the former Republican party. Pack you bags, load up the pickup, do as Ivanka said, "try something else" cause your days are numbered. And by that I mean numbered to the end of your current term. It's over, it's done. To quote Carole King "It's Too Late" . Sometimes you just gotta let a bad deal go. Really. A good Religion can explain away anything that does not match it's doctrine. And if all else fails, they can fall back on the old standards. "It's God's Will" as if they had a talk with their God about it or :"It's in God's Hand" thus removing all responsibility from them to "GOD"
