>>>The Republican Party Is The Problem

It's even more stupid when you consider that conservatives are the ones that claim they are against "cancel culture".

For a group of people that are supposedly against that stuff they have sure canceled a shit ton of stuff over the decades, not to mention they cry like a toddler that has had his candy taken from him when they get their feelings hurt or are made to seem stupid by people smarter then they are (which granted is most of the world) using objective facts. I mean it's weird. It's almost like that cancel culture criticism only exist when it's applied to white Christians with bonus points if they happen to be men or rich and magically doesn't count when it applies to anybody else.

Don't forget about the whole victim complex stuff they project onto everybody else while also being in constant and often pathological fear of everybody else in the world being out to get them. It's a strange dichotomy. On one hand there is the projecting of a chest thumping fearless macho bold exterior while on the other hand there is the living their lives in constant fear and having that be primary basis they base everything around. They base their worldview and their actions on being scarred. They do that while being in a group of people that are still the majority and while they didn't have much problem subjugating everybody else when they could get away with it. It's not so fun when the dawning realization comes they might be on the other foot in the future, and will depend on the dignity and self respect from others that they never gave to others themselves.

It would all be really fucking hilarious if it wasn't also profoundly tragic and dangerous.

How long will that last? GA and Coke are intertwined.
As well as in baseball. Georgia native, the great Ty Cobb (yes the one Pete Rose passed on the all-time hits list) would be turning over in his grave right now. -- Since Ty Cobb was an early investor in both Coca-Cola and General Motors. Both investments in those two companies were valued in the millions.

Georgia is betting Coke won't pick up their bat and go home. They figure they have too much invested to leave. Georgia forgot that most big companies consider themselves to be International and don't have a big loyalty to any one place. If Coke feels that their place in the World will be badly hurt by Georgia's actions, they will bite the bullet and leave the state holding a big bag of shit.

This is a good one. Kansas' state senate majority leader calls a cop 'donut boy' after being arrested for DUI with a blood alcohol level content of 0.17.

He was going the wrong way at 90 on the freeway. This article has a list of his crimes - including fleeing:

He looks unscathed despite all they had to do in order to stop him:

This is all opinion obviously:
https://www.politico.com/news/magazine/2021/04/11/republican-party-brain-swap-anti-corporate-480622

Highlights:
  • Trump’s success with blue-collar MAGA voters has meant the party now feels it has to square its corporate toadyism with its new faux-populism.
  • [W]hen Republicans talk about the working class, they mean cultural warfare, racial anxiety and grievance against elites.
  • Under Trump, the Republican Party literally decided that it did not need to have a platform ... it doesn’t think it needs an actual agenda, or indeed fixed principles of any kind.
  • [Matt Gaetz] accurately identified the actual power structure of right-wing politics, and the reason that the entertainment wing has overthrown the party’s one-time establishment.
