Sh 2-106, Stellar Angel.

Sh2-106 is an emission nebula and a star formation region in the constellation Cygnus. It is a H II region estimated to be around 2,000 ly (600 pc) from Earth, in an isolated area of the Milky Way.

In the center of the nebula is a young and massive star that emits jets of hot gas from its poles, forming the bipolar structure. Dust surrounding the star is also ionized by the star. The nebula spans about 2 light-years across

Right? There's been so much happening in the sky in last couple years! But just last few months one discovery after another.

I love that photo! You know the spot (hurricane) on Jupiter is diminishing. I believe I mention in this thread. But too lazy to find it lol

Yeah I heard about that, we probably won't be around to see it though. Which is a shame, because like you said the things they're starting to discover are absolutely "fascinating", as Spock would say. ;)

By the way, Rane. Have you ever read about the black eye galaxy? It was discovered in 1779 twice, one being an amateur.

NASA’s New Horizons probe woke up at 10:55 p.m. EDT on June 4 after a nearly six-month *******, and news of the event reached Earth several hours later. The craft is now getting ready to fly past a small Kuiper Belt object called Ultima Thule.

:) Yeah I was reading about that. I can't help but imagining them having a few words over who found it first and then quickly devolving into a 'patta-cake' fight to settle it.

Thus little beautiful dot in the sky. Mars. Red. Able to view it from the naked eye.clear sky where I am. Wish I had a telescope to take photos for you Rane.
