The SMACS 0723 galaxy cluster (those are not stars, but galaxies) is 4.6 billion light years* away or [5.9 trillion x 4.6 billion] miles away!

As a matter of perspective, Earth is but one small planet orbiting an average-sized star (Sun) in the Milky Way galaxy.
So, how many star/solar systems are there in our own galaxy?
Conservatively speaking, even if only 0.1% of stars in the Milky Way have planets, that means that there are still ten million solar systems in the Milky Way.
The best estimates we have for the number of solar systems is therefore anywhere from 1 million to as many as 100 billion in our galaxy alone!
From what can be observed by astronomers, it has been estimated to be at least 2 trillion galaxies in existence, making planet earth a mere grain of sand
in the totality of the universe.

Even if every country completely united we would still be too primitive to defend against aliens that have interstellar spaceships.
Unless the government has classified ***** tech they got from crashed ***** spaceships.
Better to lay low for a few centuries until we have the advanced technology and weapons to defend earth against hostile aliens.
