Why can't Dumbass Obama answer a simple question?

Assuming that Facetious was talking about me (I vaguely recall giving Obama a D- in some thread - and that wasn't based on disappointment), let me just say that even though I do think Obama is doing a pretty pitiful job thus far - and I'm saying that as one of Obama's many critics TO HIS LEFT - the sort of critiques of the man like the one in this thread are really nuts and extreme; desperate, and lacking substance.

What can you do seriously? Wait till Obama fucks up everything.

Just how long do we need to wait for Obama to fuck up everything?

Can we place any sort of time frame on when this is actually going to happen georges? You know, so that the masses can be ready to hide under a large pile of coats or something when the time finally comes.

To just say he's going to 'fuck everything up' doesn't really help us all that much. Data, figures, a bar chart if you have one. That's what we need!

:hatsoff:

If I said that Dumbass Obama is in reality a 25 year Greek woman after a sex change I'm sure many would agree with that too.

lol, who gives a shit?

Obama hating threads are soooo last year....

I'd be more concerned that he throws like a girl. That was pathetic. Looks like somebody didn't have a father around while growing up...

Compare that to Bush throwing at the World Series post 9/11. He received a standing ovation, threw an absolute strike, and was thunderously applauded. It will not/cannot be topped in terms of fan reaction and meaningfulness at the time in which it occurred.

Ah, yes the syrupy sentimentality of Dubya's greatest moment. Who throws harder--Dubya or the guy who threw the shoe? :dunno:

Will we, as a nation, ever move beyond 9/11 or will people always trot it out as some sort of rhetorical trump card?

Maybe if Dubya wasn't a drunkard and a coke sniffer he would've made better choices as president? :dunno:

It was Jag ;)

I believe that the author was simply emphasizing the point that this president won't even answer a simple baseball question and if you ask me, that's a sad state of affairs. What if we were to ask him about the state of the economy, then what ? would he just sputter off something rhetorical, something that sounds academic ? I believe so. It's like we're the mushroom family, they keep us in the dark and feed us :bs:
Really, how in the hell are we supposed to understand our president if he won't answer something as trivial as a baseball question ? Does he avoid answering queries out of habit ? does he do it subconsciously ?, out of arrogance, what ? . . but don't push him on a question that you believe wasn't answered sufficiently, for you'll be tarred and feathered as the resident racist.

I'd like to see Helen Thomas give 'em bama th' business :wieldsfist: :1orglaugh

Well, the (fairly obvious) response to that is:

- His answer to a trivial baseball question can't help us to understand our president.

- Why should the president feel obliged to even bother answering trivial queries about baseball? Surely, it's nothing that we the public need to demand answers and accountability for. "Dammit Obama, after you cough up that birth certificate, we DEMAND you tell us your favorite World Series moment, and tell us WHY!!!!! We have the right to know!"

- Perhaps the president isn't very interested in baseball, or didn't feel like giving an answer, straight, roundabout, or otherwise...

- His ideas on weighty policy matters, and the policies he executes, are what matters. Not his views on baseball.

:2 cents:

Who here really believes Obama watches any actual sporting event, baseball, basketball, or otherwise?

The country is in the shitter. He is trying to fix the messes. He has more important things to do than pull out an obvious player reference. If he said "Frank Thomas" I'm sure the haters would sniff--gee, how original--:dunno:

Fuck you. He beat Clark Kellogg in some spin-off of PIG.:nanner:

He is making many more problems.

He has not and will not solve any problems.

You'll find he inherited most of these problems from his predecessor President Bush, although these problems went unnoticed as the economy was in boom and plenty of money was available so everyone was happy. It's hard to lead a country in a recession as every decision seems ultimately negative and about 'boring' things like weak $, cost cutting, heathcare, financial assistance etc. In a boom you'll see policies like better lending/credit, more home building, fancy developments, strong $ etc and any president will look good under these circumstances. Brown is in the same predicament over here (UK). The only people left with any money now are Bush and Blair, great businessmen!

Who was one of your favorite White Sox players growing up?

It's a simple question but this shit hole can't seem to answer even the simplest question without getting a case of diarrhea to the mouth. No one asked about his fucking life history.

Uh....um...uh...um

It may be that he doesn't give 2 shits about baseball and was therefore unable to provide an answer and besides I think he has more important things to deal with at the moment then sports trivia.

Obama has been in the White House for more than a year.

The excuse that he "inherited" all the problems from Bush is old.
Find another excuse...or tell the truth.

He is not fit to be President and never will be.

The guy is probably constantly thinking about how he is going to solve all of the problems the US are currently facing, he wouldn't give a flying f*ck about queastions like that

Is he still thinking how he's going to solve the problems the U.S. ic currently facing when's he's filling out his basketball brackets?

Old or not doesn't make it any less true.

Obama is more fit to be POTUS than 10 John McCains, 50 GWBs and a million Sarah Palins. Just face the facts cupcake man.

Point to all of this? It would seem that many of the problems he inherited are being rectified by virtue of his actions or actions he enjoined.

He's turned the Afghan war around from being on the brink of failure and enlisted Pakistan in real support in the effort for the first time. Saved GM and Chrysler, had a role in saving the banking system which will actually turn the taxpayer a profit on the endeavor.

Really, in a few months some of you are going to have to sit down and shut up.

Obama is a breath of fresh air, he actually seems to talk sense. Health care is vital for any advanced society - this means health care for ALL regardless of ability to pay. Often during debates on healthcare reform, the UK's National Health service was held up as something to avoid. Yes it has it's faults, but it does mean that having badly damaged my knee recently, I knew that I could have it treated without worrying that it would break the bank. The cost to me? Some of my taxes.

If you want to see a politician really not answering questions, try Jeremy Paxman interviewing Michael Howard in 2006
