Since all "churches" are designated in the IRS Code as 501 C (3) "religious organizations" having Federal Tax ID Nos., they all are now, by definition, businesses (with some amazing tax breaks). This allows them to have banks accts.,, invest, etc. As a true church, with no IRS affiliation, these would not be allowed these incentives. And, by far, the biggest business/land-owner church is the Roman Catholic.
It's axiomatic that you can't mix money and spirituality (Check the Gospels - some preacher dude mentions it in there.) Consequently, they are all trying to sell the masses a product that will service there debt.
Personally, I'm a "recovering Lutheran" and consider myself a Deist (you didn't have that choice in the poll) wherein I believe, like Jefferson (and others of our founders), that God made it but He leaves it alone.
Frankly, what I see of all the major religions (By their fruits you shall know them) they're all full of horseshit, hogwash and hocus-pocus, the main purpose of which is to assume control (rightiously, of course) over their sheep so they can be fleeced. Scientology is no better or worse than the others.
