Black Hawk Down (2001) a very good Ridley Scott war film that focuses solely on the mission (I would love to also see a movie that really showed the politics that led to such an ill prepared mission.)

Murder at 1600 (1997) a pretty good political thriller starring Diane Lane and Wesley Snipes that stretches believe ability just a little.
