This happened this morning at Virginia tech. It was just announced on TV that there are 20 fatalities so far. Seems we aren't safe anywhere from dangers that lurk. Not even sitting in class. I can't even imagine the fear of parents and friends wanting to know if their loved one is OK. They locked down the school for hours. I guess checkpoints at all schools are going to be needed next. The world is going to hell in a hand basket.

exams put stress on ****, i will admit that. but to go around shooting people, i guess some of us will never understand why.

Yes again. My news has been extended, should have gone off at 12:30. I will update if I hear anything new, although I'm sure it will be on everyones news by tonight. This is yet another historical tragedy.

They just said he had on a bullet proof vest. It was totally premeditated and they are at his house with a search warrant now. Of course the shooter is dead. *shakes head* I feel for his ****** too, what a thing to have to face. That a person you know did this horrible thing.

whats weird is i had a dream the other night about being in a school and someone decided to shoot it up. and they were wearing a bulletproof vest. hmm..

2. Another source reported 29 dead.

3. The alleged shooter is an Asian although it is too early to tell. It was reported by his victim at the classroom who shot him.

Yes, the Asian rumor and gf things aren't confirmed yet. I haven't yet heard about 29 yet on my news. Its such a terrible thing. The White House has commented on it , not much said though.

I think colleges put too much pressure on students these days. Some days you wonder what the hell you're even doing there, or if your degree is really worth it. I know I've had days where I felt like I was going crazy from the stress. Maybe this *** just snapped, and couldn't take it anymore. I'm not excusing what he or she did, but I am saying they should have more outreach programs in major universities...with larger universities, people fall through the cracks of the bureaucracy way too easily. I should know..my university has over 30,000 enrolled.

with good reason. the real world is far tougher than college. if you cant handle college, then....

In addition to death toll 29 were injured. The students were even jumping out windows trying to flee. They just said last week they had two bomb threats also.

This is just terrible. Not the kind of stuff you'd like to hear when you get back from school. May their souls rest in peace.
