vegetarians on the board?

I like the taste of natural peanut butter better myself, but despite what some people think it's not really better for you than the normal kind. If there is a difference health wise it's very marginal.

you think so? the whole battle is the fully hydrogenated oils. regular jiff and all those have the hydrogenated oils. the discovery of them is what was caused the whole butter-is-better-for-you than margarine craze. (granted they are producing some decent non-hydrogenated margarines these days now though)

i know hydrogenated oils are saturated fats and they are the ones responsible for the dreaded "trans fat." thats the big scare right now. thats why all the restaurants and food labels are now saying no trans fat everywhere.

however... and heres the tricky part. the FDA allows companies to put things like "non fat" and "no trans fat" on products that still have some in it (hydrogenated oils). as long as its under .5 grams per serving. thats how spray cooking oil (pam, etc) says non-fat and low fat cooking. its oil.. amd oil IS fat. but a serving size is like .18seconds of a spray. which yields .5 grams of fat or less. the amount of oil that comes out as spray is less than .5 grams so technically, on the label, everything is 0.

0 calories, 0 fat, 0 everything. and thats oil in the can.

a little misleading to say the least.

will having regular peanut butter **** you? of course not. unless you go nuts on it like a crazy person. stuff your damn face everyday. and, even over indulging in natural peanut butter is bad too. we all know the mantra, all things in moderation.

you know plants and vegetables have feelings too. ever play music with plants around? some have a reaction. My grandfather use to own an orange **** in the rio grande valley, he would play vincente fernandez really loud on his golf cart, some of the fucking orange trees would literally shake, it was crazy. he said those are the ones that didnt like the music, the others that did enjoy the music would be ready to pluck. plants have feelings too, just cause you dont hear them screaming on the outside doesnt mean they are on the inside. when i saw those trees shaking, it made me not want to eat oranges anymore, i felt bad.

plants grow better when you talk to them, regardless of what you say to them, so that says there has to be some sort of life to them, and when your eating them, your ******* them as well.

Plants do not have a central nervous system. They do not have feelings.

I've been buying the Kroger Natural brand and it's only peanuts and salt. Recently I had someone's Jiff and I couldn't believe how bad it tasted to me!
