EXCLUSIVE UPDATE: Hogan's Controlling TNA, Vince is Furious
by Nick Paglino
Oct 28, 2009

I spoke to a source within TNA this morning that has exclusively informed WrestleZone that Hulk Hogan is in complete creative control of TNA at the moment. His reach in the company even goes beyond Dixie Carter, and at this point the only person Hogan is answering to is Carter's father.

The future of employees such as Vince Russo, Ed Ferrara and others within management have yet to be determined. At this point, they will remain with the company on a trial basis depending on how well they work with Hogan.

Additionally, it's being said that when Vince McMahon heard the news that Hogan had announced his signing with TNA during a press conference at Madison Square Garden, he apparently became furious as he considers MSG to be "his building." It wouldn't surprise most people to see Vince take some kind of action in retaliation to Hogan's signing as he is apparently very angry with the situation.

EXCLUSIVE UPDATE: Ric Flair's TNA Status, Will Sting Retire?
by Nick Paglino
Oct 28, 2009

According to sources within TNA, it is now being said that Sting has no plans to leave the company anytime soon or retire from the business now that Hogan has signed on with the company.

Additionally, it was reported yesterday that Ric Flair had signed a multi-year deal with Hogan when he agreed to work the upcoming "Hulkamania" tour in Australia, and that there is a possibility that he might also be signing with TNA to work with Hogan and Bischoff. In an update on that situation, it's now being said that Flair is very close to signing with TNA, and that a deal with the company is no longer a matter of if but a matter of when.

You know, as much as this could be a good thing I see very bad things coming from this.

It's a double edged sword. as i said for this to work, they cannot allow Hogan to run rampant on TNA. His presence should not mean a depush for anyone on TNA.

I want this work for the best. As it would really help TNA, and in turn revitalize the wrestling industry. TNA needs to be very, very careful and smart w/ how they precede with this.

I really want this to work out because there needs to be competition in the wrestling industry and the current climate proves that but if TNA is going to turn into the old WCW then they might as well not even bother.

The Honky Tonk Man posted the following blog:

As an outsider looking in, I see the end of TNA. Is Hogan a double agent? Dumping Jarrett a few weeks ago, Russo having heat with every heart beating person on the planet to now work beside Hogan. Don't think so.

WWe kills from the inside you idiots. WCW was the master plan. XWF was the next victim. ROH will fall when Vince wants them to go away. As long as they are not a PPV or TV threat, they will live on.

I agree with him.

Vince will try to kill a company from the inside out.

Vince Russo, doesn't know what he's doing and never has.
Wrestlers can be over thirty and still put on a great show.

If TNA is smart they will get rid of Russo soon and at the first sign of trouble Hogan and Bischoff will be let go. That shouldn't take too long.

WWE has to either keep to themselves or fade away.
I'm tired of their hold on wrestling and the havoc the McMahon family has caused on this sport. It's time for them to go and anyone like them.

TNA has been doing fine without these people.
It's time to move on and rid wrestling of people like: Vince, Bischoff, Hogan, Russo, Nash, and anyone like them.

Anyone who only cares about money, and not the future of wrestling has to go, and the sooner the better.

Major Update on Hogan/TNA: Creative Control, Talent & More
by Nick Paglino
Oct 29, 2009

PWInsider.com has provided some new details on the developing coverage of Hulk Hogan signing with TNA.

On the creative control front, we exclusively reported yesterday that Hogan WILL have control in TNA, and will be working with the current creative team consisting of Vince Russo, Ed Ferrara and others. While the current creative team will not be replaced by Hogan, he will have a major say in how he is booked and how the company is booked in general. It is being said that the current team will be working on a trial basis, so to speak, to see how well they work with Hogan.

Additionally, it is being reported that Hogan has told TNA officials that he wants to bring in some new talent, and that although no names aside from Bischoff and Hogan are officially part of the deal that Hogan signed with TNA, it is expected that other talents will follow Hogan's lead. This may include names like Ric Flair, as we've been reporting.

As for the new TNA show that we exclusively reported on the other night, it should be noted that TNA has NO PLANS to move Impact to Monday nights, but rather, as we stated, a new, separate TNA show is in the works that TNA hopes can debut on Monday nights from 8-10pm EST. This show is still in the developmental phase, however, and has not been confirmed or announced by TNA or SpikeTV.

Prior to the announcement of Hogan joining the company, TNA officials met with SpikeTV officials and had a meeting in New York City to dicuss company plans moving forward. This meeting was scheduled well in advance of Hogan signing with TNA, and was one of a few meetings the company has yearly with SpikeTV to discuss the future. It should be noted that neither Hulk Hogan nor Jeff Jarrett was present at the meeting.

Here we go folks. This could quite possibly be the beginning of the end. I don't have a problem with Hogan having control of his character but who decided it was a good idea to give him control of the company. Do they not remember WCW at all?

Hogan Continues To Tell Friends That He's In Charge.

Regardless of what is being said publicly, Hulk Hogan is telling his friends, and the wrestlers he is recruiting, that he is now in charge of TNA and that nobody is above him except Bob Carter (Dixie Carter's father who funds the promotion).

Egomania is running wild!

No matter what the ratings are Hogan needs to go already and he can take Bischoff with him. :wave2:

Hogan Going To TNA To Teach The Lost Art Of Wrestling?

"When I woke up and realized I should be my own man and be responsible for being happy, I realized I still have a lot to contribute to the wrestling business," Hogan said. "And jumping into TNA and being a part of that company is huge. I have a chance to give back and help these young wrestlers who don't understand the business and the art form."

Hogan explains how the business has changed dramatically since the 1980s. "The business moves so much faster now," he responded. "It used to be if Andre the Giant and I had a feud, it'd probably play out six or seven months later at a big event. Nowadays, if Andre the Giant and Hulk Hogan have a feud at 9 o'clock, it's usually over by 9:30. It's a story-telling art form to create emotion and drama and I just think a lot of that is lost."

UPDATE: Kong/Lacey Von Erich Backstage Altercation

Lacey reportedly told a male trainer to fetch her an ice pack and he ended up walking in on a half-dressed Awesome Kong, who was none too pleased. Kong then reportedly grabbed Von Erich and took her to the trainer's room, where she proceeded to cut a promo on her in front of Kurt Angle.

When Von Erich went to management to complain, they ended up siding with Kong.

What did she do to Kong to deserve to be manhandled?

TNA should have sided with Lacey in this case.

Update on Hogan Running TNA, Sting's Future With The Company
by Nick Paglino
Oct 31, 2009

We exclusively reported several days ago that Hulk Hogan will have quite a bit of creative control in TNA and that although there are no plans to remove anyone from the current creative team, Hogan will have a major say concerning the direction of his character and the company in general. PWInsider.com is confirming our report by adding that during a book signing at The Mall of America in Minnesota yesterday, Hogan claimed that he decided to get back into pro wrestling because he wanted to "run TNA."

We also exclusively reported that Sting is not planning on retiring from wrestling at the moment, and while that report still seems to be true, The Wrestling Observer is reporting that he will not be used on TNA TV for awhile so that the company can figure out how to bring him back to TV, and so that Sting can figure out how much longer he wants to continue working with TNA. It does appear though, from what we've heard, that Sting will come back to work with TNA in the future in an on-air capacity prior to his retirement.

DDP Says Whether He's Interested In Joining TNA

Any details if you are going to TNA?

His exact words were "As of right now no, none, I have no interest, but I am going to do some independent wrestling to see how my body feels. When you go to TV you need to be bringing your A game. I am 53 years old, I don’t want to be beat up like Hulk Hogan, walking around the way he does. Am I ruling out returning to TNA, no, will I return, well who knows. You would have to offer me the right money, it would have to be the right angle. You never rule it out, cause never say never."

Big Hogan/TNA Update: More on His Control of the Company
by Nick Paglino
Nov 02, 2009

Last week, we were the first to exclusively report in an article you can read if you CLICK HERE, that Hulk Hogan will have major power in TNA, and that he may in fact only be answering to Dixie Carter's father and will be higher on the TNA ladder than Dixie herself.

F4WOnline.com has confirmed our report by issuing an update claiming that Hulk Hogan has indeed been telling friends that he signed his TNA contract with Bob Carter himself, who is Dixie's father, and that he has "control of TNA." Additionally, Hogan has apparently been telling friends that he is a partner in the company which may indicate that he has a share of TNA.

Heed my words folks, the end is nigh.

TNA News: One wrestler asked for his release, two other top wrestlers
frustrated with TNA creative

By Jason Powell Nov 2, 2009 - 01:02 PM

http://www.prowrestling.net/artman/publish/TNA/article1008622.shtml

Frankie Kazarian (a/k/a Suicide) asked for his release at the last round of
TNA television because he's been frustrated with his creative direction. TNA
management initially agreed to grant him the release, but A.J. Styles and
Christopher Daniels worked to soothe over the situation, so the release was
never finalized.

A short time later, an upset Vince Russo approached A.J. Styles. Russo was
upset because he had heard that Styles told Dixie Carter that he thought it
would be a good idea if there were a wrestler on the creative team. Russo
blew up and then Styles returned fire about being booked as a weak champion.

Although it appeared that Styles and Russo had cooled off following their
backstage blowup, the word is that there were still some hard feelings over
the weekend. Styles, Daniels, and Kazarian have expressed frustration to
friends, and the bulk of their issues seem to be with Russo.

Powell's POV: The frustration of these wrestlers came before Hulk Hogan
signed with TNA, so this has nothing to do with that situation. Rather, all
three wrestlers were or are highly skeptical of Russo as the head booker.
Early reports indicated that Styles approached Russo with the complaints,
but it turns out that it was actually Russo who confronted Styles. Russo was
so upset during the argument that a witness claims he threw his coffee cup
down in anger.

It does strike me as odd that Styles and Daniels are so frustrated given
that Styles is the TNA Champion, and Daniels has been placed in the main
event at Turning Point. Meanwhile, Kazarian is playing the role of Suicide.
He plays the part well, but the masses probably wouldn't notice if TNA put
another wrestler in the outfit. After all, Daniels played the role while
Kazarian was sidelined by an injury, and it's not like anyone noticed.
Furthermore, Kazarian appeared to burned some bridges with WWE during his
brief developmental stint.
