Report: Update on Ken "Mr. Kennedy" Anderson's Future
by Nick Paglino
Oct 22, 2009
Source: The Wrestling Observer

In an update to a name that hasn't been heard from in awhile, it's being reported that the reason why Ken "Mr. Kennedy" Anderson has not debuted in TNA as of this point is because several of his managers are advising him not to sign with the company. Kennedy might have a shot at returning to WWE considering the fact that he is appearing on Hulk Hogan's "Hulkamania" tour. At this point, WWE, more specifically Vince McMahon, is doing everything he can to bury Hogan's tour, and since Kennedy is a big name scheduled to work the tour, Kennedy's managers feel he might be able to get an offer from WWE to return to the company following the tour, which would prevent Hogan from utilizing Kennedy again in the future.

I contacted TNA concerning an article. Look at the last few comments.

Do you want a free ticket for coming so far to see TNA? ;)

No, cause going to the impact zone is free... but at least if it is packed they can help me get inside.... IDK, i would be sad if i cant get there (and my gf is going to kill me cause we would stop doing the universal attractions because of tna

I watched TNA Impact last night. Is the Main Event Mafia really done?

They have been slowly drifting apart for a couple of months now. Booker is as good as gone, Nash has been doing his own thing and Samoa Joe works better solo. Angle turning face won't last long, it never does.

On a side note I have never wanted to be a tub of pasta more in my life.:rubbel:

NZPWI.co.zi recently conducted a lengthy interview with Bret Hart.

When asked to give his thoughts on TNA, Hart says "is good for the wrestling, but I'm not so sure about the ridiculous storylines. I don’t get it. But they have some great people, I think pound-for-pound A.J. Styles might be the best wrestler in the world today; he’s one of them anyway. That's for sure."

Ridiculous!? Bret you worked for WWF/WWE.

Hart vs Styles? Sting vs Hart?

Big Update on The AJ Styles/Vince Russo Backstage Argument
by Nick Paglino
Oct 26, 2009

We reported last week, stemming from an original report by PWTorch.com, that AJ Styles was furious backstage at a recent TNA taping concerning the way he has been booked as TNA Champion up to this point.

In an update to that story, ProWrestling.net is reporting that AJ Styles did indeed have a big backstage argument with TNA head of creative Vince Russo. The argument was said to be so heated that several TNA officials had to step in to break the two up. It's being said that in addition to feeling that he has been booked to look like a weak champion, AJ Styles is also frustrated with the way TNA has booked Samoa Joe and Frankie Kazarian, who wrestles as Suicide.

Styles' recent frustration seems to indicate, as we exclusively reported last week, that tensions are a bit high backstage in TNA right now, and a lot of wrestlers are unsure of the company's creative direction or where they may be headed as individuals.

Maybe TNA needs to make this the next storyline, introduce Vince Russo as Jarrett's and Cornette's replacement and have Vince Russo and AJ Styles have a feud.

The following is from TNAWrestling.com:

HULK HOGAN JOINS TNA WRESTLING
Legendary Wrestler and Pop Culture Icon Returns To The Ring With Fast-Rising Wrestling Organization

“Hulkamania” is back! The biggest name in professional wrestling history, Hulk Hogan, is joining Total Non-Stop Action Wrestling (TNA), the fastest rising wrestling organization in the world and home to one of cable television’s highest rated shows for young men, TNA iMPACT! The announcement was made today by TNA Wrestling in conjunction with Spike TV at a press conference held in New York City.

“Hulk Hogan is one of the world’s top pop culture icons and the biggest superstar in the history of professional wrestling. We are truly excited to welcome him into the TNA family,” said Dixie Carter, President of TNA Wrestling. “Our goal is to become the world’s biggest professional wrestling company. Hulk defines professional wrestling and we look forward to partnering with him in a variety of ways as we continue to grow TNA globally.”

“I’m thrilled to be jumping back into the world of professional wrestling,” said Hogan. “My fans have been asking me to return to the business for many years on a full time basis, but the timing or the opportunity has never been right until now. TNA Wrestling is a great company with an already excellent fan base, business and broadcast partner. I firmly believe now is the time for some change at TNA as they are positioned to jump to the next level in their development and I’m here to work with Dixie to help make that a reality.”

Through Hogan’s partnership with Bischoff Hervey Entertainment Television, the deal with TNA was negotiated by longtime Hogan colleague Eric Bischoff. Additionally, BHE TV has inked a first-look deal with TNA and will be working with the organization to develop new programming extensions of the TNA brand.

“Hulk Hogan adds yet another level of star power that positions TNA iMPACT as Spike TV’s version of ‘Must-See TV’ on Thursday nights,” said Kevin Kay, president of Spike.

Hogan most recently penned an autobiography with Mark Dagostino, “My Life Outside The Ring” with St. Martin’s Press.

EXCLUSIVE: More News On Hogan & Bischoff Signing w/ TNA
by Chris Cash
Oct 27, 2009

Phones are ringing off the hook and I'm the one causing it as we try to get some more information regarding Hulk Hogan and Eric Bischoff signing with TNA. So far, very little is known about the contract terms. The couple of people I have spoken with so far assume (and pretty much expect) it to be a short-term deal.

It helps TNA, of course, with exposure by having the biggest star in the history of professional wrestling associated with your company. It helps Hogan with promotion for his book.

One source I spoke with started laughing as I read the press release TNA just released. "You know who this helps the most?" he told WrestleZone, "Eric Bischoff. Bischoff made a smart decision with his company (Bischoff Hervey Entertainment Television) as it positions him to have a close, working relationship with Kevin Kay and Spike TV". Another person close to the situation told us that he was concerned about Vince Russo's future with the company. It has been regularly documented that Hulk Hogan and Eric Bischoff do not respect Vince Russo or his career within the industry. As TNA puts this over as an on-air position for Hulk Hogan (the recent TNA video promoting Hogan on Impact!), one can only speculate what Dixie and TNA agreed to in order for Hogan to sign on.

Whether Bischoff simply negotiated Hogan's deal and will work with TNA through BHE TV or whether he plans on having something to do with the creative end is still unknown. One source told us, "I doubt the agreement has Bischoff working with (TNA Creative) because I don't think he would do it, but if he did, Russo is already on his way out the door or will be momentarily".

Did you see Hulk on the Today Show this morning?

Man, this is THE biggest wrestling news in ages. While, i hope that Hogan coming does not deter the pushing of the younger talent, i do think that this will bring HUGE interest on TNA. For the first time ever, they became a trending topic on twitter. Even WWE hardly appears on trending topics.

I hear rumors that Flair might join, too. Could this be the beginning of an new era in a Monday night wars type thing? I am very excited about all of this!
