We need to get rid of the Hungaroring on the F1 circuit. Virtually zero chances to over take just takes the piss. Magny-Cours was always a good Grand Prix, a fuck site better than the Hungaroring.

Silverstone is in the process of pulling out as well. No British GP would be sacrilege to the sport. There is talk of a London street race or using the Rockingham (great name for a motor sport venue) circuit if Silverstone do actually pull out. I'm not sure about these places, it needs to be Silverstone the home of F1 in my opinion.

This is basically for every F1 circuit. Just look how many times races are won from pole position with no lead change.

Frankly I'm amazed that Kimi has secured yet another extension to his Ferrari contract, firstly why are Ferrari so keen to keep a driver that has high wage demands while performing poorly relative to his teammate? Ok he's not as far behind Vettel in terms of pace than some other teammates are this year, but Ricciardo showed that Vettel wasn't exactly untouchable and with Perez and Hulkenburg both likely available, why weren't Ferrari willing to take a small risk on drivers who they'd likely pay far less? Secondly I ask myself why is Kimi himself choosing to sign for another year considering how unhappy he is with the team clearly favouring Vettel? The answer I've come up with is that his agent has probably advised him that his recent performances + wage demands are not acceptable for another front running team and that its either be number 2 at Ferrari on great money or less money and a worse car elsewhere but be the #1. This answer also makes me firmly believe that next year will be his last, this extension reeks of a last pay packet before retirement.

It may also be because Ferrari have their eye on someone who is not out of contract until the end of next season.
Ferrari like to have a clearly defined no.2 driver and seem to favor people who are not going to cause problems over their ability to perform to a high level. There have been very few Ferrari drivers in recent years and the likes of Barrichello, Massa & more recently Räikkönen have all fulfilled the role of "co-operative team player".
For whatever reason, Kimi is seemingly happy to play second fiddle. Not a bad position to be in though I have to say. Being paid millions to drive a F1 car for a living and not really be under any real pressure to perform well - just maintain relations with your teammate and you'll retain your lucrative seat. Any other top team and he'd have been replaced quite some time ago for not doing the business. He's now got himself a couple of undeserved contract renewals which is why I have stopped being surprised about it. The fact that Vettel is friendly with him and not a threat to him is essentially why Ferrari are content to keep him on.

Didn't watch the race. My older sister celebrated her birthday, and I went down, took my mum there. I even went through that brunch, a compkete vegan thing, without any sausage, meat, whatever. I didn't tell her about this.

Was a nice race. Pretty hoipeless for the Ferraris, though. But after the incredible qualifying session, with the pouring rain, everybody was much happier.

So... McLaren-Renault for 2018 and young Sainz gets his wish and gets to move on from Toro-Rosso(Honda :eek and into a factory Renault.
For the upcoming Singapore Grand Prix, I'm just hoping for damage limitation from Lewis and his Merc squad. If somehow, someway, Lewis finds a way to win this particular race, Vettel and Ferrari should just hoist the white flag. This is (IMO) their best chance to re-seize the WDC lead and make a real dent in the WCC (assuming Kimi can find the motivation to put forth some real effort).
