well, if they can turn it around and get a fresh start in the playoffs I'm sure everything will be okay. They have made some mistakes but they know what they have done wrong. Throughout the season, things get piled up. Now that they have it sorted out it will still be an up hill struggle to make it, but if they make it. I would like to see them go all the way.
I could say the same thing about the Redskins, but I just don't know anymore. They have been making simple mistakes.

They do? They just squeaked by N.O. in OT and they still have to almost win out just to make the playoffs.

If the Vikings lose 1 game (which they will), and the Bears match their W-L record for the remainder of the year, the Bears will win the Division. Beating NO was a HUGE victory for DA BEARS.

I just hope that Matt Forte fully heals before next weeks game. :uohs:

Actually, no they wouldn't. The Vikes are 8-5, the Bears are 8-6. And the Vikings have the tiebreaker edge. So for Chi to get in they have to have a better record then the Vikes. And if Minn. wins 2 of the next 3, they're in no matter what Chicago does.

I guess I should've included "if the Bears beat the Packers"...the Bears own the tie-breaker, so if they match records (and the Bears beat the Packers), the Bears will win the division.

I'm really disappointed in the Vikings. Why haven't they gotten out of the playoff race. I don't know what i'm going to do if they have a good year for once. It's to much to handle them winning the division.
Hopefully they will screw it up like they do every year.

The Minnesota Vikings are the only team in history to go 6-0 and not make the playoffs.

Their last two games are against struggling teams. Forte's health is a big issue, but so are turnovers. Minnesota has a nightmare rest-of-schedule. Plus Frerotte is out. Looks favorable for Chic.

I'm hopeful that the Bears will pull it off, but Minnesota's been getting extremely lucky with some of their wins so I'm slightly worried.

I'm a little concerned with Forte, but he'll have 9 days of rest before his next game. Hopefully he's a quick healer. Adrian Peterson is a good back-up runningback for the Bears, and he has been for years, but Forte is the heart and soul of our offensive scheme and we're going to hurt without him.

Santa? If you're real (which you're totally not), instead of a new bike, I would like Matt Forte to become invincible...immediately. Thank you and Merry Christmas.

That's probably true.
But I think Minn's game with Ari. this weekend is the key. Ari. has already clinched a playoff spot, their first in many years. And even though they would love a home playoff game, their situation isn't nearly as desperate as Minn's.
If Minn wins, then I assume they will lose next week to Atl. (who are just as desperate and, imo, a better team then Minn) then it will come down to a final game at home against the Giants.

If the Giants have clinched the No.1 'seed', then I think they will lose (despite what they did last year in their 16th game). But, if they haven't clinched the No.1 spot, then I think they will win and the Bears (assuming they win out, which they should) make the playoffs.

I just hope they care enough to win against the Lions. They have to keep their winless streak intact.

I hope not! THe Lions have enough bad karma and very, very poor play already. Hate to see my favorite team make history, but it is already done.

I am in the NFC North group, GO VIKINGS!

Going off of the soccer jersey discussion in another thread..

Post your nominee for best looking NFL helmet. Your selection does not need to reflect who you actually root for...

I'll start. Here's the best helmet in the NFL

Cleveland Browns...any other choice is a distant second at best.

The Browns don't have a logo!!!

I like the Browns' uniforms for the same reason I like Penn State's uniforms. They are plain and simple. It's like saying, "We don't need to be flashy or rely on gimmicks".

No offense, but I detest plain and simple. Especially the 'plain' part. I don't want a plain and simple house, car or woman or just about anything else.
:)

Cowboys helmet. Bold, strong and great color combo, imo.

The Browns have a decent-looking helmet. Not sure why it isn't ACTUALLY BROWN...but that's their choice I suppose.

My second nomination....The Rrrrrr

I'm a Raider Hater but they have the coolest uniforms in football. The Cowboys have the gayest next to Denver's. The Browns have a kind-of "No Bullshit" type of uniform. The Lions have a cool helmet but they should have darker unies. The Chargers have the most annoying uniforms and helmets. The Colts have the most boring uniforms in football. Oh and the Rams have the crappiest colors.
