Because Texas has had a far tougher schedule and only have one loss...its a close call i would probably switch TTU and UT. How can the USA today polls rank Texas below Oklahoma when they straight up beat them?
Basically i am just very impressed with how Texas came out of this difficult stretch of games (OU,MIZZOU,OSU,TTU) This team deserves to be top 5 maybe even top 3. Why is Alabama a unanimous number 1 here? The only team they played thats not complete garbage is Georgia. Penn state's schedule has been just as difficult as Alabama's, why not put penn state at 1?

that's easy to answer...like the bcs seasons have gone...when you lose late it hurts you deeply in the polls...penn state number 1? no way...bama plays in the sec the toughest conference in the nation...mind u, texas did win against those teams...but didnt blow them out, the expection of mizz...i would rank florida 4, penn state 3, tech 2, bama 1...tech deserves the second ranking after knocking off number 1, right? again, i dont wanna see penn state in the title game

This is why I hate college football 99% of the time. Everybody (not just you) thinks that Texas should be ranked above Texas Tech, for no reason other than "they have a tougher schedule". Who cares what their schedule is?

They LOST to Texas Tech. Texas Tech BEAT them, yet Texas will probably still be ranked higher than them. That's like saying "it doesn't matter who wins or who loses, only who they play". That's stupid.

For example...I've always been an LSU fan, but they have no business being a top 25 team right now. They have 2 loses and have gotten their asses handed to them in both. Oh, but I forgot...their loses were against "GOOD" teams, so it doesn't matter. It's ridiculous and the NCAA needs to quit denying that their system of ranking doesn't suck, because it does.

they need to change that to being in the poll sitters hands...no computer crap but put the polls into the hands of coachs and the ncaa personal

Texas is at the bottom of the 1-loss teams. That's the way it works in college football, so, yes that means Okie moves ahead of Texas even though they lost to Texas. There is no way that Texas Tech should be put ahead of Penn State. That's ridiculous. Bama and Penn State were established undefeated teams before TTech played. It's not unreasonable to think either Bama or PSU could also beat Texas.

Texas Tech looked really good last night, but I don't think they will run the table. The pressure and the spotlight will get to them.

Look at these prospective bowl matchups for this season and tell me this doesn't make you  or :weeping: or:throwup:

Yikes, most of these matchups look like shit

I think the BCS is a flawed system but I also think NCAA Football needs a BOWL SELECTION COMMITTEE which makes up all the matchups from the Top Bowl down to the shitter bowls. THere's no reason we can't make compelling shitter bowl matchups too. The "conference affiliation" system for Bowls is a throwback, outdated relic from the times when college players wore leather helmets.

We need a BOWL SELECTION COMMITTEE NOW!

I think the NCAA needs to stop letting teams schedule their own seasons. How STUPID is that? :dunno:

Personally, I feel that if the NCAA made the schedule themselves and didn't allow universities to "invite" other teams to play against them, they could easily regulate more fair schedules that eliminates the "strength of schedule" argument.

The two biggest jokes in the top 25 are #11 Ohio State and #16 LSU. Both teams are garbage and shouldn't be ranked. Give those rankings to teams that deserve it.

They have only played the bottom of that conference aside from Georgia.

And by the end of the year, they will have played all of the top teams from the SEC (Ole Miss, LSU, UK, UGA, and UF in the SEC CG), plus the pre-season favorite from the ACC... not their fault Clemson imploded.

There's a lot of football let to play guys!

are they one of the best top 25 teams in america? YES...so, they should be ranked...and they lost to ranked teams

same could be said for the florida gators...btw, im a gator fan

Go Gators Man.. Glad to have another Gator on board. Alabama has a tough road ahead of them. They got a LSU team that hates Nick Saban and he is returning home. We will see how that game plays out next week.

They just better hope Penn State doesn’t win out the rest of the year and still end up third.

I don't see that happening. 'Bama Still has to play LSU who you know would love to spoil Saban's Season and The Iron Bowl Vs. Auburn before they play The SEC championship game. Texas Tech still has Oklahoma and Oklahoma State before they get to the Big 12 Championship. I just can't see BOTH teams winning out.
