And for all the morons who said Bama was crazy to pay that much for Saban, look who's #1
My top 5 right now:
1. Alabama
2. Texas Tech
3. Penn State
4. Florida
5. Oklahoma / USC
i would put tech 3...penn 2...bama 1...i still think if florida goes on to be the sec champion...they should jump into the national championship game...

USC and OK fans have to be routing for a loss by one of the top 3 of course. Florida is a better team than USC IMO. Tech has OK and OK State left. 'Bama has LSU in the bayou next, plus MissSt whom nobody can predict. The Nits have Mich St at the end, but my Spartans aren't awesome--viz a viz OSU. Best position now is Penn State.
i agree that penn state is in the driver seat...but i just wouldnt put penn state in the title game...even if they went unbeaten...i would love to see a florida vs usc, florida vs okla, okla vs usc...something along those lines
Not a huge fan of college football or football in general, but I happened to watch WVU's convincing second half comeback yesterday at #25 UConn. That Pat White is an amazingly gifted runner at QB for WVU.
Looks like WVU will hop back into the lower part of the Top 25 based on yesterday's action. Undefeated in-conference, but you never know how good they are overall because of their diluted Big East schedule, though the conference is not as bad as it used to be.

where is texas?? This team beat Oklahoma, Missouri, and Oklahoma State before losing to Texas Tech by 6. If i were making the polls the longhorns would not drop out of the top 3 let alone the top 5!

Texas' Wins this season far outweight their one loss and Texas Tech's wins.
It will make no sense if Texas is out of the top 5.
texas will drop...how can they be ahead of tech when they just6 lost to them...makes no sense...remember u wanna lose early not late...that's how the bcs works...the point is tech beat the number 1 team...texas will drop to 6 or 7
i know they will drop...thats not my prediction, thats how i feel..maybe i would switch 2 and 3 but before yesterday the best team TTU beat was Kansas and i just feel that texas' wins are more important than their loss to TTU.
i feel, right now...florida is the best team playing, right now...in the college football world...blowing out lsu and georgia...making statements...and if they go on to be the sec champ...and potientally beating a unbeaten bama team...and tech goes unbeaten...florida vs tech...in the bcs...i dont wanna watch penn state in the title game...penn state going against any team with that 1 lost...like...florida, texas, okla, usc...we'll see another big ten team in the title game going down...

How can you rank Texas HIGHER than Texas Tech, when Texas Tech straight up beat them? :dunno:
Because Texas has had a far tougher schedule and only have one loss...its a close call i would probably switch TTU and UT. How can the USA today polls rank Texas below Oklahoma when they straight up beat them?
Basically i am just very impressed with how Texas came out of this difficult stretch of games (OU,MIZZOU,OSU,TTU) This team deserves to be top 5 maybe even top 3. Why is Alabama a unanimous number 1 here? The only team they played thats not complete garbage is Georgia. Penn state's schedule has been just as difficult as Alabama's, why not put penn state at 1?
