I'm here to enquire about your spooons...
On the whole, I root for all SEC teams (unless they are playing LSU) except for Auburn and Florida. . I don't have a 2nd favorite though.

I live in the land of the Longhorns, Aggies, and Red Raiders, but I find it interesting that the Texas State Dept. of Public Safety is now offering LSU license plates. LSU is the 1st out-of-state university to gain such an honor. Lots of people are becoming fans over here, and there is a butt-load of alumni, myself included.

My hats off to all USC fans. I will give you shit during the year, but underneath it all, I have a great amount of respect for the USC football program.

You know...A fan of an SEC team who roots also for USC, needs his head examined. You, sir, are the very first fan of an SEC team that I have discovered that roots for USC.

Yea the reason why USC is my second favorite team is because I love L.A. Once I graduate from the University Of Florida I am going to move out to L.A.
USC was my second choice on were I was going to go to college. Its not really much of a big deal that I root for USC. In fact I dont understand why SEC teams hate USC. Probally because they are jealous. The good thing is that Florida is the USC of the east. Go Gators!

USC lost to Notre Dame 14 years in a row and to ucla 8 years in a row. It may feel like USC is suffocating the world of CFB the last couple of years but to the SC "Family"...we still have some work to do against those two schools. THe margin of victory in some of these recent games is eye-popping though. I don't remember hanging 66 points on ucla ever except for the first 2 games in the series WAY back in the day. Same for Notre Dame...we have never blown them out consistently like we have under Pete Carroll.

The USC/Oklahoma Orange Bowl a couple years ago pretty much cemented SC dominance in the "modern" era. That Oklahoma team was supposed to hang a big score on USC, dominant them "physically" etc....didn't happen.

USC has had BIG wins against SEC teams under Pete Carroll...the sweeps of Auburn (shutting AUburn out in Auburn) and Arkansas (hanging 70 points on Arkansas in LA and 55 in Fayetteville)...

I think USC fans would love to get a piece of Florida/LSU/Georgia/Texas/Miami/Florida State in a BCS Bowl...

Before Pete Carroll got to USC, there was talk that the Trojans might never be a power again. USC is right in the middle of Watts, they couldn’t recruit, and they had become powerhouse of the past. IMO He deserves more credit than anyone in creating what is probably THE preeminent program in CF…………I still root against them though……..Go Bucks!

You excited about the USC/OSU matchup?

I think Fat Boy Domer Weis will be fired by mid October and sued by Notre Dame for fraud.

Charlie Weis has improved ND's recruiting and they will be better this year.

If you look at previous years recruits under Willingham and even earlier, ND were competing against mid level teams for recruits...so the ones they got were not the best.

Now they are competing with the elite teams for recruits and getting their share. ND will be an elite team again within 2 years....and all of you guys will be talking about how you knew it all along....

Nikkala made me do it!
I think SC should be a legit 9/10 pt favorite over Ohio State (we will not be hanging 35, 40, 50 on the Luckeyes)...a 27-16 kind of game seems right to me....with Beanie.
Oddsmaker Danny Sheridan posted a future line on that game in this morning's USA Today, and had USC favored by 4.5 :2 cents:

I'm just glad the season is here... SEC football on a Thursday night is sweet!

Where did clemson go?? I know they didn't drop out of the top 25, did they?

lol.. Yea my family are big Auburn fans. Its a good thing I'm a gator fan I guess. I remember when I was younger I would try to agrue bama fans and all they had to do was say 12 and it was over. lol

My tigers got owned but they still will win the acc which isnt sayin much lol.

Yeah, Clemson will be fine, they just came into the Alabama game a little too sure of themselves and Saban had his team ready to play for blood. I still say Clemson should play for the ACC title this season.

Jason, I feel for ya, my dad went to AU... lucky for me he's not too rabid. I went to many AU games growing up, but the first time I went to Tuscaloosa, it just felt like home to me. FYI, my little sister is getting a grad degree at UF right now... and I certainly remember the UF-UA battles when I was in school in the early 90s for the SEC!
