Pretty much all cupcakes on the menu for the top 25 teams this week. Nicely padded schedules for the contenders as usual.

Lets see here, I think I'm gonna go with #16 Rutgers, opening at home of course, against the University of Buffalo, which is 7-51 over the past five seasons. Should be exciting!

Not only do a lot of top teams schedule cupcake non-conference games I think I read somewhere, though I could be wrong, that some of them might in fact have more home games than away. :wtf:

In that respect I do have to give credit to USC. They do seem to schedule harder games then they have to unlike other places out there.

You are correct sir. I just read an article on it detailing what a sham the schedules are this year. Pretty much all the top 25 teams have adopted the 7 home games and 5 away as a standard, since they went to the 12 game format. They just all added an extra cupcake at home to the menu at the beginning of the year.

In fact, Rutgers and Auburn both play 8 home and 4 away this year. Auburn opens with 4 straight at home even. And since the 6 wins rule is still in effect to become bowl eligible, it would take a catastrophe of epic proportions to not go at least 6-6, and miss a bowl.

Its BS how they pamper some of the bigger schools. Im a Buckeye/Clemson fan and I still feel this way. OSU has a cakewalk but on the other hand the ACC is going to kill each other like the SEC etc....

me too. usc actually has the balls to schedule a game in lincoln. oh well trojan fans, it was a good idea, but your title hopes will come crashing down due to your teams nerve.

This Big Ten thing is quite a media hype these days...

Eddie George
George won the NFL Rookie of the Year award in 1996
His career totals include 10,441 rushing yards, 268 receptions, 2,227 receiving yards, and 78 touchdowns(68 rushing and 10 receiving).

These are not bad stats..

Number of Big Ten in the NFL 2006

1. SEC 261
2. ACC 231
3. Big Ten 223
4. Pac-10 188

GO BUCKS

Well #10 Louisville Cardinals handled their business at home against Murray State Prep, 73 -10. One down, five to go to become bowl eligible.

They should have a mercy rule for these early cupcake rounds, like they do in high school football. Get up by so much by half time, and just let the clock run without stopping.

Or teams should observe sportsmanship and not have there starters in after your up by 28 points on a 1AA team. There is absolutely no reason to run up the score when you already have an easy day out.

yes, lets look. http://thesundevils.cstv.com/sports/m-footbl/stats/2005-2006/usc-asu.html

did i say this? no i said he is better than you know.

Now..when do we discuss the 5 interceptions? Or should we forget they ever happened and hope they don't happen again...so the game might close.

Sam Keller blows. You will see for yourself soon enough.

RE:USC having "balls" to go to Lincoln from below... USC has balls to play anyone. Go back and review recent years schedules. Or go look at future schedules. USC has destroyed the following...Auburn on the road (shut them out at Auburn. You try to do that). Meatchicken in the Rose 2X lately..Okie in the Orange (hung 55 on them--you try to do that)...scored 120+ points against Arky including 50 in their place (you try to do that). I won't bother to list all the Notre Dame beatdowns or the Iowa beatdown..Colorado beatdown..etc. KState did nail USC twice--back in 2001/2002. I'd love to play them again and "settle the score."

Huskers are in for a humbling day on the field...USC has a bye week before the game. Believe me. It will be nasty.

^^^
And yet a very mediocre UCLA team beats them 12-7, knocking them out of the championship game.
Gotta love major rivalry games in college football

go michigan state! lol...they suck but i love em!

Yeah! I think that Dantonio is going to be a pretty good coach for them, but barring Duffy coming back from the grave I don't see alot of wins coming very soon. Ringer and Caulcrick should be a fun RB tandem to watch though.

yes, it will be nasty.

ive been known to make outrageous wagers on board before, so what do you say? but, since you say usc will whip the huskers, i want points.

the only thing I get out of ncaa football is the lopsided scores, nfl prospects and the BCS championship game. I only want to be awakened when they put a playoff or plus1 system in to make the season legit.

michigan lost to appalachian state.:rofl::rofl:

jus' seen the highlights on espn.com... :1orglaugh people were crying in the stands and shit :1orglaugh
