Who is ESPN going to root for now that their two favorite teams are gone?![]()
Cards win,Cards win!!!!!!!
Cards are in trouble now, they are really going to miss their ace.
But I figured their season was over before it started, so to just be playing and making more money is a plus.
Yeah baby! What a classic game. Hats off to the Phils. They played their asses off but last night Carp was unhittable. Go Redbirds!
What in the world are you talking about? "Miss their ace"???In what way are they "missing their ace"? :dunno:
If we can take out the Phillies I don't think we're too intimidated about anyone else at this point. No one thought we'd even be here so the pressure is all on Milwaukee. Great series win by the Brewers so congrats to them....should be a helluva series.
Chill, I'm a cards fan but in a 7 game series its nice to have an ace pitch twice. Carp doesn't pitch till wed. and it depends which bullpen guys show up. The Brewers are a better hitting team at home than the Phils and they are on a big high now.
Jagger you may disagree but I really think setting a cap in baseball would be great for the game. I know its been discussed until everyone was blue in the face but the lack of classic great franchises competing such as the Orioles and Royals has really hurt baseball. Sure you can produce a good small market team into a winner through the **** system but due to the ridiculous salaries that the players are getting those small market teams can't hold onto them and they go elsewhere. Being a Cards fan I'm glad I've never had that issue but I've always had that concern just as a baseball fan. The game deserves better ratings then its been getting and I think parity among all the teams would help big time, just like the NFL! MLB just isn't fair and thats why a lot of fans walked away from it.Just my opinion!
I think some of the disinterest in baseball right now is still due to the strike that cancelled the World Series. There are still a ton of fans who have not come back to the game from that, the imbalance between have's and have-nots is a contributing factor, but it doesnt hurt when small market teams that fans actually care about (sorry Tampa Bay Rays, you dont count) succeed in the imbalanced structure. Salary cap id be okay with if its an NBA cap, i dont want to see the Yankees or the Red Sox cutting half their team, but the money they pay for the luxury tax would help the leagues competitive balance.

Woo-hoo Cards even series 1-1, beat those **** talkin' Brewers
Call them Nationals or call them Expos, they've never been relevant. Ever.Remember how there was a team called the Expos and the league fucked them over?
I do.
