Thanks to your votes, $10,000 will be donated to the Wounded Warriors Project

We're very proud to announce that the charity that YOU voted to receive the total donation of $10,000 is the Wounded Warriors Project, which was nominated by Miss FreeOnes 2012 winner Vicky Vette!

Vicky Vette had this to say about her nominated charity winning:

“I chose this charity because our military deserves our love and respect. They put their lives, and their families lives, on the line for us over and over again. Physical injury and post-traumatic stress is not a joke, they have made serious sacrifices for us and it's the least we can do to take care of them when they return home. As they say, ‘The biggest casualty of all is being forgotten’. I am grateful that Freeones stepped up this year to do a Charity Drive. More companies in adult should follow their example.”

Thank you to everyone that participated in this project, from those of you who nominated charities and especially to our sponsors who helped us get to the $10,000 mark in our charity drive. I'm sure that the Wounded Warriors will be able to put this donation to good use!

Does that mean somebody in the Freeones office is getting a holiday in America to present the cheque :D

there's sending me one of those big giant checks to give to them on their account.

i plan on keeping it and using it to try and buy groceries at the store. oh, and to slide around on.

Congratulations to the Wounded Warrior Project!

But I certainly will keep my eye on some of the other nominated projects since being left with a nomination is not going to do much for them unfortunately. I wish them all good luck.

Actually, I think being nominated did a lot for them...free PR. People saw the names and hopefully, if they saw the charity of their choice wasn't 'winning' in the polls, maybe people donated directly themselves. I know I got interested in one that was nominated by fans, but never even made it to the poll and have already donated something. ;-)

That's true. There were some organizations I never heard of but definitely gained my interest. Maybe it didn't earn them 10,000$ but at least it made people like me aware they existed.

I'm glad to hear that the Wounded Warrior Project won. :)
I've helped with fundraisers for this Charity before, they totally deserve it!

Glad to hear it. If Sea Shepard would have won I would have laughed my ass off.
