Shayd World Tour

Sounds fun shayd! Have a great time. The only advice I have is don't leave Venice without the requisite Gondola ride. At night preferably, with the gondolier singing. That's stereotypical, but it must be nice.

Well sure has been a while since I updated this.

I'll update the schedule for those that care (all 4 of you)

Tomorrow evening we fly to DC for three days, and then two days in Scotland and 3 in Ireland.

Hope everyone has been well while I've been away. :)

come to Paris if you have an opportunity.

Just thought I'd dust off this old thread to just give a little update. I'll try to get in everything that's been going on in the past few months here so bear with me!

First of all, the tour ended about two weeks after my last post, as the World Tour finished up in London. The Tour was absolutely awesome, and was exactly what my wife and I needed. I appreciate all the advice from all who have posted here, and I may decide to go on another mini-tour this fall or winter, depending on when I can get the time off.

That's the other thing, I've finally gotten back to work. To summarize a long story, I've finally gotten back into "the Biz". No not Hollywood, but my own field of computers. I am back working with a few different companies, and I'm absolutely loving it.

My wife and I also moved houses back in March, and although it was a small move to San Francisco, it was still a bit of a hassle. We're all set now though and loving how things are going.

Well, just wanted to give those who care an update, and let you guys and gals know how things are going!
Hope you are all doing well,
Shayd

Thank you for the update, Shayd! It is good to hear that your world tour finished up nicely and that you are back to work and enjoying it. I've always been a firm believer that if possible, we should all find a job that we love doing, regardless of pay.

It's nice to see you around. When you were gone so long I though maybe you hoped on over to a tropical island on your trip and decided to just stay forever. :D

Good to see that your settled. I was wondering about . . . ah we'll leave it there.

If you need assistance in familiarizing yourself with anything South of San Fran. on down to about Santa Barbara, drop me a PM. Outdoor events, dining, beaches, hiking, whatever, let me know.

Be well & don't hesitate to ring the bell ~

I know it's been awhile that you are back allready, but I've been reading about your trip to Europe, and I must say that You Missed the most beautifull country of it all ... Belgium ... To bad I didn't join a year ago, i would have shown you some places and taken you to places to eat and most of all drink. There ain't anything better than belgian food or beer...
If you are goin to do this again, stop by, even for other boardmembers who don't know where to go to. Come to my place, I will show you why we are called 'life-enjoyers" or as we say it over here "bourgondiërs".

I've been to Belguim many times and the chips (fries) are the best in the world.I also like those little old places where you get a half chicken with a loaf of bread and a big jug of beer.I think the best beer was Leffe or Kwaak.

Ahhh!!! The memories :glugglug:
