Shayd World Tour

Shayd---
For Boston...you MUST go to "The North End" and eat Italian there. Specifically, go to Mike's Pastry for post-dinner dessert. Choose any of the restaurants in the North End. Just walk the main street, Hanover Street, and choose whatever looks in your price range. For great Boston Pizza, seek out the Original Pizzeria Regina in the heart of The North End. You'll need to ask locals to find it. Or Google it yourself.

The South End is becoming Boston's up-n-coming foodie area. Touristy Newberry Street is, of course, cool. But there are some familiar chain shit stores/restaurants there.

I wouldn't bother trying to go to a Red Sox game. I would try to go hang out outside at a sports bar near the stadium. The Fours is the sports bar you want to visit. It's on Canal St across from The Fleet Center.

The Cape is a bit of a drive. For beach community I prefer Marblehead. Maddie's Sail Loft is a fun place to get drunk at and have lunch/dinner.

If you like Sam Adams beer, tour the brewery!

I'm gonna cover all my bases here, and say how about one of each? :D

On our way out of PA and on to NJ next! Any suggestions?

Aren't you sweet? It's all good.

NJ has lots of cool stuff. If you find yourself in Atlantic City, skip the casinos and hit Ripley's Believe It Or Not. I was there two years ago and I want to go back. It was AWESOME.

And I'll wait for the man of the household to notice this thread...he'll add some stuff.

The Jersey shore is beautiful. Great places to check out (depending on where exactly you might be) Cape May (the very southern tip of NJ) you can see the beautiful beach and the remnants of a concrete ship. Atlantic City has a decent shore and as my fiancee mentioned, the Ripley's Believe it or Not is definitely worth an offbeat trip. (AAA discount if you've got it) Visit the casinos if you are so inclined. There is some architectural beauty to be found in the Taj Mahal especially. Other spots along the shore (not worth a long detour, but if you are in the neighborhood) include Seaside Heights/Island Beach State Park, Belmar (nice beach and you can check out the fishing boats), Atlantic Highlands (much the same as Belmar) and best of all, Sandy Hook. (it's a 10-mile long peninsula with the ocean on one side and the bay on the other, both are worth a look) As far as cities, Newark is definitely skippable(if you are there out of necessity, you can check out the Newark Museum), as is Trenton (though they have a AA team). Right across from Philly is Camden. Here, the aquarium is a must if you can get there. Hope this gets to you in time! Enjoy NJ and the rest of your trip! Keep us posted!

Excellent! Thank you!

And for the record, I'll have that keychain waiting for you if you ever make it out to the Bay Area. :)

boston rocks you will have a good time there are some great clubs and great food. Try Finale for dessert after of course eating at todd english's bonfire or legal seafood or locke ober. Most of the good clubs are close to fanuel hall

are you comin to Ireland man? I coudln't tell you any specific places to head to but if you like scenery and homely pubs/bars, get your arse over here! lots to do!

Senob and becks, I would rep the hell out of you both if I could right now. The shore was absolutely amazing, and that coming from someone who lives near the ocean. Thank you both for your insight, I found Ripleys' to be another fascinating place, and I have to say, this was the best place we've gone so far. So again I say thanks to you both! :hatsoff: :)

Now for our next stop...going all the way down to Orlando tomorrow afternoon. Anyone got anything for good ol' FL?

Most definately we are my friend. I don't have the list in front of me right now, but the European destinations I can recall are 3 or 4 stops in the UK, France, Italy, Spain, and Germany. Hopefully I didn't forget any, but if I did, I'll update later. :D

Wonderful! I'm glad to hear that we were able help you experience some of what NJ has to offer. Very pleased that you enjoyed your visit! Have fun in Orlando!

Maybe I'll make it out next year. I'm using up this year's vacation time now.

It's been unbelievable. My wife and I have just been having the time of our lives. We're both very lucky to be able to do this, and we've worked very hard to be able to, so I think that's kind of added to the experience, just knowing how lucky we are.

Next stop on the World Tour, Atlanta, GA.
I've been there twice before, but am still relatively unfamiliar, so any ideas?

Great to hear you two are enjoying yourselves. It sounds like you really deserved this! As for Atlanta, I can't really provide any help since I've never been there. I know their airport is the busiest in the US but that's about it! Have fun and keep us updated when you can!

What an affront to my Irish-American pride with that.

Nothing stereotypical, please. Tasteful is good. :D

Yes ma'am! I promise I'll make it nice :D

Anyways, as we move a few states East (and North for that matter). Our next stop is St. Louis, Missouri. Anybody got anything good?

Visit the Philippines! We boast some of the best beaches in the world and where your American money is like gold bricks! :D
