The point is the point of sale tax rate is 30%, not 23%.
Yea I've heard a good bit about that fair tax. As I understood you pay taxes on what you buy that is new. And like every month you have to fill out some form that you decide how much money you need for money on stuff like food you buy at the grocery store. I dont really know what its about can someone explain it to me fully. And If believe it would work or not. Sounds like a load of shit to me.

Fair Tax is an inclusive tax. So that means the tax is included in the price BEFORE time of purchase.
A normal sales tax has the tax added onto the price AT the time of purchase.
So when a product is sold with Fair Tax for $100; that means the product cost $77 and the tax was $23.
Now if you sold the same $77 product and charged a sales tax of 30% that would give you $23 in taxes; which equals the $100 final price.
A 23% inclusive tax is the same as a 30% traditional sales tax. But the former sounds cheaper.

Well you did left the part out where he said "people making $250,000.00 and more..." which in that case it doesn't bother me because I don't make that much money anyways...so go ahead the celebrities want to pay more taxes keep backing him up.
So someone shouldn't be punished for being skilled at making money unless their skills earn them an (arbitrary) amount that you see as profligate, and then they should get reamed? That seems very contradictory

Even if by some extremely odd chance a person was able to save that entire amount, the bank interest on that is what, about 6K per annum?
And where are these theoretical people living? 250K goes a lot further in some places than others.

So anything that makes people think, true or not, that they'll be "losing" more money and they'll be up-in-arms. "Tax" is just an easy word to throw around in politics to scare voters. Same reason why you never hear the word "draft."

McCain with people forgetting that she's not actually running for the presidency. Although with McCain's age and health, her taking over while in office is a lot more real (and scary).

Brought them up??? Are you kidding me, they are all over Obama and the Democrats which why as an Independent that kinda pushes me away from that party which I did vote Kerry back in 2004. I mean Should I listen to Oprah, Barbara Walters goons, Rosie, Madonna, Matt Damon, Lindsay Lohan, MTV, P Diddy, Black Eyed Pea,etc? As you recalled I only brought them up as an example when Biden said "anyone making over $250,000.00 and yes I do fucking hate celebrities!
