Official NHL thread 2007-2008

The Ottawa Senators are in first place in the Northeast Division, second behind the Devils by two points in the Eastern Conference ... and THE GM FIRED THEIR COACH, and named himself the interim coach! :wtf:

Murray fires Paddock :crash:

At one point in the season , they where first with a big lead on top of the eastern conference standings and now they are second with montreal only one point behind of them . Paddock got fired because the team has been playing very poorly since the all-star break .

Wow, I'm shocked Cristobal Huet was traded. I didn't even know he was being shopped. Are the Habitants just going to ride their rookie Price through the playoffs?

Matt Pettinger is a young player with about the same skill as Cooke . You probably won't see the difference .

I saw the difference in the first game Pettiger played in, sources say Matt Cooke and head coach Alain Vinegault didnt agree on hockey issues

sometimes i wanna hug Feaster. other times i wanna smack him

Jay has done some great and some very bad moves . Trading his first round pick for Fedotenko was a good move , trading Modin and Norrena for Marc Denis was a very very bad move and now trading Richards with Holmqvist for Halpern , Smith and Jokinen to me was a long term great move . Trading Prospal was not that bad because there is a chance they might re-sign him next year .

I think Cooke is not the type of player Vingneault likes to have on his team .

With Richards coming to my Stars, maybe now we can get out of the friggin' first round! Though I really believe that this year's team was finally "drinking the Kool-Aid" and getting it together, they have to proove it when it counts. GO STARS!

i just had a bad thought. doesn't Lecavalier's contract run out at the end of this year? if so, Feaster better do everything to keep him there

Looks like the Wild are really starting to stink up the league now. They have been very cold lately....a shame...with all that tallent.

He still has one year left to his contract . But you can bet that Jay Feaster will try to sign him to a very long contract extension after this season . If he doesn't , the team will go to hell very fast .
