Tampa has traded Brad Richards to the Dallas Stars for G Mike Smith , F Jussi Jokinen , F Jeff Halpern . Tampa also gave up Johan Holmqvist .

I think this is the best move Jay feaster could have done , at least Tampa now has a goalie . And since they have signed Dan Boyle for 6 more years , The team is going to be much better next year .

Chris Simon is the one player in the NHL i cannot stand. he shows blatant disregard for other players' wellbeing and has proven what an ass he can be numerous times. on top of that, when he's not stomping on legs and swinging sticks he's not even that much of a tough guy. Derek Boogaard is still the only true tough man on the Wild

He was an integral part of teams past, and he has his name on a the Cup (96' avs). If he wasn't on my team I'd **** him too. But seriously, what better than a player who can get on the ice, mug someone and get the odd garbage goal every now and then...:1orglaugh You have to admit his 99-00 season was pretty good considering his qualifications.

Hossa is a heck of a player. They have alot of offense and adding Hossa is a little more. Too bad Sid had to get injured.

the trade was decided 3 minutes before deadline,
only two teams were still trying to get Hossa,montreal
and pittsburgh,but Wadell wanted 4 players for Hossa and Dupuis,
Gainey didnt want to lose Higgins thats why they lost Hossa
to pittsburgh...i agree with Gainey on this one

but we lost Huet for a second round pick in 2009!!!WTF

the penguins may have given up alot but the chance to get to the stanley cup is tempting also this gives hossa a chance to prove he can get a team there and not flame out like every other playoff series

Dupuis isn't that bad a player either. I watched him play many times in MN when with the Wild. He's not great, but he's a solid 3rd liner.

I am pissed the Canucks tarded Matt Cooke, to get some guy I have never even heard off. Yes, Matt Cooke has not been that great of a player, but he has beeen with the Canucks ever since he started playing in the NHL.

Matt Pettinger is a young player with about the same skill as Cooke . You probably won't see the difference .
