I guess the Blues thought they were playing an ECHL game since there was no one there. They sure played like it. Worst effort of the year.

...and then they took it out on the Rangers and Islanders.

I can't believe the draw to these stadium games. 50k each at Dodger and Yankee stadiums. 100k at Michigan Stadium. The NHL is making a fortune with this.

Did anybody make it or is anybody going to any outdoor games this year?

I went to the winter classic and it was fricken cold. Full body shivers cold. Both layers of pants froze and give your thighs some weird freezer burn cold. I was worried about possibly having permanent damage in my toes. And to top it off the wings lost. I had a blast, but id never do it again.

I know people who were there, they said they got one beer, it froze before they could drink it.

I think I'd do it if tickets were wicked cheap, so that I could leave after the first period, and watch the rest from my hotel room if the weather was so cold.

Well, they were just damned lucky to beat the Isles....Vanek's disallowed goal in OT looked good to me. I was shocked when Toronto overturned it. Of course, Oshie's post-to-post shot should have been a goal so, being a Blues fan, I don't feel too bad about it. :D

Yup. We overestimated the traffic going across the border and ended up at the game a few hours early. Nothing to do but drink. But you better drink it fast because if you set it down, it was slush. Pop couldn't be sold because all the lines froze up. They sold "hot" chocolate and Bailey's but it was cold and disgusting before you could finish it.

Snow suit with thermal layers underneath and a blanket would have been nice.

I know people who take hot water bottles and refill them from the hot water taps in the bathroom when they're at outdoor events. Pretty smart.

Another 50k at Yankee Stadium. 20 degrees on a Wednesday night? It only goes to prove one thing, hockey fans are fucking nuts. Probably the safest night ever in the south Bronx though.

The sports talk callers are all positive with the event. All saying they would go back. With this I could see a Rangers/Flyers or Rangers/Bruins outdoors. I hope the NHL doesn't oversaturate this gimmick and kill it.

^^ Yeah, Kaner is a fucking beast. He's kind of a big deal. Paul Heyman voice: "He is the reigning, defending Conn Smythe Trophy winner!"

I love the response video that teammate Brand Bollig did. Awesome parody.

There is so much awesome here. If I played, I hope my team mates would do shit like this.

Blues go up by 2 over Nashville at home on Saturday night only to see the Preds score 3 straight. Then, Vladimir Tarasenko took over....scored the tying goal on a wicked wrister as he was cutting across from the wing and then ripped the game winner in the shootout. Keep your eye on this kid....he's a special talent....a terrific 2-way player and only 22 years old.

Waiting for Jagger's "Blues are the greatest" lines during tonight's game. B's in town to re-establish a little Eastern Conference authority over the West. No Chara, but it won't matter.

Now when have I ever made that statement, feller? I love my Blues but I am not quite ready to just hand them the Stanley Cup by default at this point.

That said, I do seem to remember a game in Boston earlier this year that ended up with Rask smashing his stick to pieces after giving up the game winner to Derek Roy in a shootout but, hey, that's past history. :D

Actually, we just choked up what should have been a sure win against Ottawa at home night before last so I am not exactly brimming with confidence going into tonight's game. You guys have been hot as a $2 pistol lately so I expect a tough fight on the ice at Scottrade starting in about 5 minutes. No Chara for you, no Tarasenko or Sobotka for us so it'll be next man up for the team that wants it most. Let's drop the puck and get after it!

Jagger, you don't talk crap on here and I rarely do. Just felt like stirring the pot a little with someone who wouldn't respond with voodoo curses or by sending me pics of a nude Will E. Bs have been hot EXCEPT when playing against the effing Habs.

Wow. I thought for sure we were going to piss this one away. You guys really brought the forecheck hard in the 3rd and we were sitting back on our heels. Third straight game we have let 3rd period leads slip away....disturbing trend even though we won. These teams are almost mirror-images of each other. We've been lucky to take both games so far this year. Oshie's winner was ugly but Rask left the post open and it went in so I'll take it. Like I always say....the Blues are the greatest!!! LOL....

Bs just can't seem to beat the better teams (and no, I don't put the Habs in that category, they just have the Bs number). The Bs may win the East, but I am not holding my breath for a Cup. Congrats on the win...On the 8th day, God created the Blues and Danni Ashe.

Thanks for the congrats but until the Blues show that they can consistently beat the California teams, I'm not giving them much hope for a Cup run. Weird....we've beaten the defending-champion Hawks three times this year, beat the Eastern Conference champion Bruins twice yet have but a single win against the 3-headed monster of LA-San Jose-Anaheim. :wtf: :dunno:
