that knee to knee from Markov on Phaneuf was uncalled for though.

I haven't seen that play (i even missed almost half the game, thanks to a supper at my parent's). Not the kind of Markov, he isnt a dirty shot player usually
Sidenote, Chris Higgins was also injured in the game. We know it's to the shoulder but no more details disclosed.
Center Zenon Konopka gets his first regular season start with the Lightning tonight in place of the injured Adam Hall. Konopka was easily spotted on the ice in preseason games everywhere there was action. he was assessed 4 fighting majors in one preseason game this year :b
Saint-Louis and Vinny always pull out tremendous performances at Bell Center, we will have a game tomorrow
Habs are without Komisarek, Dandenault and probably Higgins. Markov isn't playing his better hockey lately, Kommi presence next to him start to show out.
Lang and Kovalev got a great game against Calgary and they usually don't pull out two performances of that level in consecutive games.
TB could win at Montreal... but of course, i'm with Habs for that game
I wont defend a play like that. If it was Markov, he deserve a special treatment when we will play Calgary next time. Dion Phaneuf is able to give him a special treatment - and it should happend.

Montreal is going to roll over Tampa. the piss poor performance our offense is playing is affecting Smitty now and he's not as dominant as he was earlier this year. i'm not even gonna watch that debacle.
I can't really argue with that .... They can't seem to win , it's like they have forgotten how to do it . Smith played last night so it may be Olaf Kolzig in goals . If it's him then my prediction is Montreal 6 Tampa 1 . If it's Smith who knows .....

The game is not over yet tho. Habs are one of the best *come-back* teams in the NHL with very strong 3rd periods... And i remember that TB likes to have few goals ahead before giving the game to the other team. :tongue:

yeah, that was a stellar effort. Kolzig was brilliant after that goal he let in :bowdown:A nice 3-1 win over the Habs.
