I don't think 37 shots can be considered a miserable outing . At least they tried , they had good chances but Backstrom is one hell of a goalie.
We deserved that win after a couple shaky outings and a couple of games with bad officiating. The Lightning got a gift on their 2nd goal. Backstrom touched the puck in the crease on the delayed penalty so the whistle should have blown and the play dead but they kept it going and Malone scored. That was a questionable non-whistle if you ask me. The Koivu goal was Ovechkin like!

we scored only 2 goals...again. we blew a lead...again. we had a 2 minute 5-3 and didn't capitalize. we lost...again. there's nothing good about that. we can put the pucks on net, but in net is another story.
I really don't understand why Tocchet gave Kolzig the start tonight. The team needs a win badly and Olie has been playing like crap lately . They needed Mike Smith in there. Smith should start in goals all games as long as he is not tired . They replaced Kolzig with him in the second and he made incredible saves again . I'm starting to think that the bolts should recall Karri Ramo for good and have him be the backup because Kolzig really sucks.
that would be good if Ramo's numbers didn't suck balls too. he's 4-8 in Norfolk with a GAA over 3.2. Smitty's gonna have to be like Brodeur and play about 70 games a year...

i'm sorry, i'm a Lightning fan and am unfamiliar with the term "win". what does that mean?

I think we need to thank Jay feaster for trading Brad Richards for Mike Smith Because he got Tampa a great goalie for years to come so .... Thank you very much Jay , you made some bad decisions at times but trading for Mike Smith was not one of them . :bowdown:
