Just the fact that the lightning finally have a great goaltender is the best thing to me . The bolts will have to shoot more ( and I'm sure they will with the offense they have ) and the most important thing they need to do is stay out of the penalty box . The defense is young and will make mistakes but with a great goalie and the team's great scoring potential I think they will be ok .I think they will bounce back tomorrow and get a win .
So far I am very disapointed with Melrose . He gives way too much ice time to Gary Roberts and Mark recchi and he doesn't play his first two lines enough for my taste . The Lightning have a potential to score a lot of goals and they will need to score because goalies are doing a great job so far . Also I saw that defensemen don't support the attack enough . Mezz will have to use his shot much more if he wants to contribute on offense .
What'd the score end up? I had to leave right after the Rangers tied it at 1.

It was 2-1 for the Rangers. New York is looking like they could be contenders this year.

Canucks lose 4-3 in OT on a goal by, ironically, Nathan McIver, who was waived by Vancouver last week.
Good luck, I'm predicting a long and disappointing season for any Islanders fans out there. They could very well be the worst team in the NHL, although I think the Kings still take the cake in that regard.
From what I gather from O'Brien, he brings a more physical game to our blueline, which we need. Krajieck is a good puckmover, but not an ideal PP QB yet. Still has potential.
Shane is a very physical player. he be a perfect addition to your energy line (whoever that consists of)
Our energy line is pretty much set with Ryan Kesler, Alex Burrows, and either of Taylor Pyatt, Matt Pettinger, or Jannik Hansen. I could see O'Brien paired with Sami Salo on D, though.
O'brien is a great physical presence but he tends to make stupid mistakes and he takes unnecessary penalties at times . I think Krajicek is going to play better defensively and is a good puck mover that will see time on the power play . All in all a good move for Tampa .:2 cents:
