Take Larry Fitzgerald away from Palmer like Benjamin was lost for the season and get back to us.Am I the only one that thinks Carson Palmer should be the MVP, as strange as that is to say in 2016? He played better with a harder schedule than Newton in my opinion. His advanced stats are better. Cam seems like somebody that probably did play like a top 5 QB, but gets major bonus points from everybody for what his team did in almost going undefeated.
I have to say that before this year there is no way I would have ever predicted either of them being MVP, especially Palmer.
Take Larry Fitzgerald away from Palmer like Benjamin was lost for the season and get back to us.
You can play that game with almost any team or past MVP winner or candidate. Take Greg Olsen away from Carolina and what happens? Take their defenses away from either one and what happens? Almost nobody pulls out winning seasons by themselves. Plus Fitzgerald looked semi-washed up before this season. How can you tell if it was him turning things around or if Palmer turned things around and vastly helped make him look better?
Benjamin was Cam's number 1 target last year and coming into this season. Take Fitzgerald away from the Cardinals and they struggle to win 10 games. What in the hell are you talking about?
The reason Cam is the MVP is because he accomplished more without his top receiver. Dont take my word for it, there are plenty of experts that agree with this. Somebody else may be able to make the case better than I can. Newton is deserving of MVP honors.
If you really feel that's the case then why wouldn't Russel Wilson be the MVP over Newton then? He also had better stats than Cam, had a large chunk of consecutive weeks where he was clearly the best QB, was one of the best QB the entire year on the whole, and had all the issues Newton had but even worse. He has no star receivers (Baldwin wasn't much before this year) and on top of that had one of the worst offensive lines in the league for most of the year.

Something that may only interest me: Below is the stat line for Jake Delhomme in the 2008 Divisional round loss against Arizona and Palmer's line from the game today:
2008:
Jake Delhomme 17/34 205 6.0 1TD 5INT 39.1 QB rating
2015:
Carson Palmer 23/40 235 5.9 1TD 4INT 43.2 QB rating
Spooky.
....And Denver will be SB Champs. Good luck blocking that front 7 Carolina.
An SEC quarterback Super Bowl.
I'm still surprised that Peyton Manning was able to not throw away the game. The Broncos last drive when they were trying to run out the clock is what scares me about Manning.
And Denver will be SB Champs. Good luck blocking that front 7 Carolina.
The Panthers run the ball more than New England so Denver's pass rush won't be able to just go full bore at Newton every play as they did with Brady. But yes, it is still a concern.
