MSNBC hires former Ted Cruz spokesman ; Melissa Harris-Perrys walks-off

These 2 stories are not connected. Or maybe they are...

Fired Cruz Spokesman Rick Tyler Joins MSNBC

Well that was fast; four days after being fired as the national campaign spokesman for Ted Cruz, Rick Tyler has joined MSNBC as a political contributor.

Tyler will made his first appearance today at 5 PM ET on Meet the Press Daily.

Tyler was fired Monday after tweeting and Facebooking a fake story claiming that rival Republican presidential candidate Marco Rubio insulted the Bible in front of Cruz’s father Rafael Cruz. Rubio actually praised the Bible, a fact that Tyler admitted in his apology.

MSNBC's Harris-Perry Says She Won’t Appear On Her Show After Pre-Emptions

Frustrated with what she described as a lack of editorial control, MSNBC host Melissa Harris-Perry told the New York Times on Friday that she will not appear on her show this weekend.

“Our show was taken—without comment or discussion or notice—in the midst of an election season,” Harris-Perry wrote in an email to colleagues that was obtained by the Times. “After four years of building an audience, developing a brand and developing trust with our viewers, we were effectively and utterly silenced.”

The MSNBC host expressed frustration at having her regular time slot—10 a.m. to noon on Saturday and Sunday—taken over for coverage of the 2016 presidential primary. Though Harris-Perry told the Times she did not know if her show had been canceled, she said she felt “betrayed” by network executives.

An NBC News spokesman told the Times that Harris-Perry’s reaction has been “surprising, confusing and disappointing" to the network.

“In this exciting and unpredictable presidential primary season, many of our daytime programs have been temporarily upended by breaking political coverage, including M.H.P.” the spokesman told the Times in a statement.

As of Friday afternoon, Harris-Perry’s Twitter bio identified her as a professor at Wake Forest University and listed her titles at several non-profit advocacy groups. But as Politico media reporter Hadas Gold pointed out, a reference to Harris-Perry's MSNBC show had been removed from that bio.

Jamil Smith, a former producer on the show, released Harris-Perry' full email to her staff on Medium on Friday afternoon with her permission : https://medium.com/@JamilSmith/meli...to-her-nerdland-staff-11292bdc27cb#.ow5y00qbm

So, on one side one of the rare rea progressive voice on this news channel is silenced and decides to walk-off. On the other side a former Ted Cruz aid who got fired a week ago for being too dishonest (too dishonest to hang around with Ted Cruz. Wow !). Too dishonest for Ted Cruz but good enough for MSNBC. And some people dare pretending that MSNBC is liberal, that they are left-wing, socialists

Conspiracy...
Ted Cruz is not a Republican.

Melissa Harris-Perrys walks-off , great.

So if Fox News rolls out the occasional leftie, that means that they're not cheerleading for the right???

MSNBC hired this character in a vain attempt to shake its image as a bastion of liberal spin. CNN has the same basic ideology as MSNBC, but most agree that they're more mature and less obvious in their presentation. The ratings at MSNBC have continued to tank, even after other attempts to jump start the channel last year. As it stands now, a specialty business channel (CNBC) has shown greater ratings growth than MSNBC... and it's not even on a primary tier in most cable systems. Phil Griffin, the president of MSNBC, is just trying to hang onto his job at this point. He'd hire Daffy Duck to replace Melissa Harris-Perry if he figured more people would watch his struggling channel.

MSNBC does not rolls out an occasional leftie. They have a rightie (I don't even know is "rightie" is a real word, I just use it as counterpart for "leftie") as main host of their morning show every week day.

When Rachel Maddow will host a show on Fox every day and when Fox will hire a former Bernie aid, I'd stop to consider Fox as right wing.

The problem with MSNBC is that their target audience, progressives, don't get their news on cable news channel. They get their news online, reading the Huffington Post and watching Thr Young Turks. So what Phil Griffinis doing is doing is trying to shift the target audience to the right, to target center-right andcenter-left people, people who consider both MSNBC now and Fox to be too radical.

Center-right people? Oh, so Phil is attempting to get people like me? Haaahahaha! Good luck with that, Phil.

Melissa Harris Perrys is a man hating feminazi

"During the break I was trying to think up a solution to the problem of building audience (for women athletes), so my solution is in 2016 we go completely dark on all media coverage of men’s sports, just for one year. We have the only televised sports, the only print sports, it’s only women’s sports, and we’ll just see whether or not women could get a fan base if in fact they were the people who were constantly on our televisions and in our newspapers".

Sports medias are 90% (if not 100%) about men's sport. What's wrong with making it the other way round, to see the audience's reaction ?

Can't rep you yet. Sorry. So I owe ya some at a later date.

Limbaugh’s use of the term was excessively broad and unfair to be sure—to Rush, all feminists are feminazis— but it has become newly appropriate and useful as the Left increasingly advocates fascist tactics when it sees no quick route to its objectives using such repugnant means–to them—as the free market, open debate, merit-based advancement, and individual autonomy.

Is tarring these arrogant ideologues who favor enforced “equality” over basic Constitutional rights such a pejorative label uncivil, unfair or hateful? Why no, in fact. Sadly, tragically, frighteningly, it is entirely accurate.

So because the state senate president took away items that these whining airheads might throw during the senate session, and the items included tampons (energy bars... feces, urine and paint!!!), Melissa Harris-Perry spun this story to one that made her ya-ya sisters victims in the (make believe) war on women. She is SUCH a repugnant, sad excuse for a human being.

MSNBC confirmed yesterday that her show has been canceled. But the bad news is that some goofball university will probably hire her to teach women's studies and give her a full professorship. She's feathered her nest at the University of Chicago, Princeton and Wake Forest already. Maybe she can land at Duke and become Belle Knox's new "post modern porn star feminism" mentor. There would be two geniuses in one jar.

Having never heard of Melissa, I had to do some Googling. Political Science doctorate? Wow! You know how you get them? Take Poli-Sci classes in college and agree with everything the professor says. I say this because I went to college and had to take some shit classes to fulfill my distributive. My first class was with this guy that looked like Colonel Sanders and was the epitome of a Dixie Democrat. My thinking of Poli-Sci was that there were opinions to argue and present. No way with this guy. He would say stuff and ask for hands up in the class for their thoughts. Anything I'd say, he'd pick another hand he knew would agree with him. Turn back to me and say, "You see, she understands." I wrote 2 papers for this guy before withdrawing from his class. Half inch thick marker crossing off an entire page with the words nonsense as his critique. I took the same class the next year and just stroked his dick for every word that came out of his mouth. Got an A. To be a PhD in Poli-Sci? Keep stroking professor's dicks.

Melissa had a good thing going and she blew it. She is WAY over her head as far as how she thinks she is important. 4 hrs. on network TV a week, nice exposure. At a slot where E/I dominates the channels, mom and dad are still in their jammies letting the kids pour their own Fruit Loops, In her E-Mail to her staff that she allowed to be published? Those are likely 3 college interns that will still get credit for their time.
