Mortal Kombat (finally done right!?)

Here's a first impression from somebody who A) clearly has no idea what he's talking about, B) Maybe should have gone back and played the first three MK games (or some of the others as well since he doesn't know who the "frozen bitch" in the background is), and C) Seems to find it interesting that you can pause the game.
I don't mind complaints because I want them, if they're valid but get me somebody who knows what the fuck they're talking about. MK has always had different mechanics from other fighting games.

Now that's what I'm talking about. That's how you play Mortal Kombat.
Well I buckled down and got the demo. I went with the 3 month subscription to PlayStation Plus (decided to give that a try too, I can definitely see some perks in this, by the way).
But the demo is simple, only 4 fighters but this is definitely the Mortal Kombat we all remember and love from MK2 except the ******** and gore is on steroids now. The hits and bone crushes even make you cringe a couple times. I can't really seem to get any moves down, just find myself repeating the same moves over and over to win. Overall though, can't wait for the final product!

Mileena's got to be my favorite character from the demo. I like Sub-Zero but I don't like the fact that you can double freeze with him. It used to be if Sub-Zero tried to freeze someone twice then Sub-Zero would get frozen.
