Hey Fellas, You Like Anchovies On A Pizza Pie?

No. Heck no. I like some anchovy with my Caesar Salad but not on a pizza pie. Giving me anchovies on a pizza pie when I'm expecting a pizza pie with no anchovies is like serving Charles Bronson quiche when he thought he ordered pie. Bronson hates quiche. Says it makes him sick. Makes Bronson angry too.

I love me some anchovies on a pie...unfortunately, that's about the only thing that makes my gout flair up. I would order them on the side, to control the flavor, but I could eat those salty little fuckers straight out of the tin....with a stack of Saltines, OH YEAH. Same goes for sardines.

For the EMPEROR!!
No, not on pizza. Extra pepperoni and chili peppers sure, but hold the anchovies.

Never had before but would try just to see why everyone balks at the idea.

They arent bad ~ if you have had tuna, sardines, cod, haddock... then you have had fishier fish.
But they are absolutely awful, in the sense that they are INSANELY salty. Like.. pour a teaspoon's worth onto your hand, drip a few drops of 'tuna wiff light oil' onto that salt, then lick it up and you would understand.

But, eh.. awful fish? Gefilte, lox, unrinsed squid/octopus, blood-red ahi/mahi tuna on your plate (the look kills it, the taste is fine.) and let us not forget what happens if you have too much fish ~ mercury poisoning.

Settle for a slice with LIGHT anchovies, and covered with a leafy mcLeaf thing like spinach, to round out the flavor.

Fuck no. Pizza is a meal I've never once wanted to be fishy. In fact near any cheesy/fishy combination makes me feel queasy.

Once in a blue moon, I go for it. I adore fish, and I even eat anchovies by themselves should the planets align. If you order it, I'm in like Quinn.

Not anchovies, but I do love a good seafood pizza with shrimp, scallops etc.
Go to a place called Taverna'n in Norway for the best seafood pizza you will ever have if it's still there. The pizza is worth the cost of a plane ticket. Trust ;)

Always wanted to try that. There was a place near my old martial arts studio that had this big neon sign saying "Seafood Pizza" in the window. It sparked much imagination. I really should see if they're still there. Its more than a few hours drive away but why the fuck not to resolve childhood fantasy cravings?

No, I f**kin hate anchovies...and what the hell is a pizza pie??

A normal pizza with proper meat (chicken, pork or beef) and select veg toppings will suffice! :)

Ya know.. come to think of it, maybe a nice mahi pizza could be done.

Substitute a crispy flatbread for pizza crust.
Go light on sauce, replace marinara with a chipotle-ranch.
Change pizza blend to purely sharp cheddar or monterey jack.
Mahi strip per slice.
Go heavy on lettuce shreds con cilantro piezas, post-cooking. Put diced tomate on top.
A few limon drops along the central line in the slice.

It'd put anchovies to shame.

I love how Japan gives you "quadrants" of pizza toppings so you can try different types on one pizza.

This one is:
a) Standard seafood
b) Shrimp & basil
c) Shrimp & crab Gratin
d) Tuna/salmon tartar

Quadruple threat seafood pizza. I'm going to say it's in the same league as Norwegian pizza.
