I dunno... It's more expensive and I've got a lot of games for the xbox already. I think the problems have been smoothed out with the new slim version.

If you like F3 you will like New Vegas. The improvements are mostly a win. Better non-VATS targeting, nice weapon customizations and item creation ala' Oblivion. Plus the story is better than F3 IMHO

where did you get the Gauss rifle? its my favorite weapon!
if anyone has been to NOVAC and you purchased the hotel room,i always go back there to save my weapons. i try to carry only a few weapons so any glitches that make your weapons disappear i will actually have good ones or back-ups in that hotel room.
The Hidden Bunker usually sells some, and once i hit around level 20 i found one for sale in Freeside
there's a unique variant (the YCR something) that does more damage out there too.

I barely got this game but haven't had too much time to play it. Anyone got any tips on how to deal with Cazadores? What weapon or weapon combo do you all recommend?
Plus I stumbled into some quarry full of deathclaws. Now I really miss my dart gun from FO3 to deal with them! :bawling:

I did find one thing that really helped me with the Cazadores and the deathclaws: Boone.
Once I got Boone, I would kind of lay back and pick them off while he went at them head to head. Worked almost every time.

you need to have better guns skills and weapon handling skills and better everything basically. but use "steady" : http://fallout.wikia.com/wiki/Steady
and shoot their wings. but if there are alot of them and you are alone skips it and go back. i found having a companion with a weapon is good,having the sniper rifle so i can shoot at them from far away,because one shot and they come at you and ur companion can fire at them then.
Deathclaws:
unless you have gotten far in the game and have your level up high 15-20 possibly more and have way better weapons dont even mess with the deathclaws. again the sniper rifle with armor peircing rounds from a cliff that they cant get to is the most IDEAL place. and stealth boys help if you sneak up on them and blow thier fucking heads off
Finished it once already for an independent New Vegas, now I'm playing for the NCR and Boone kicks major ass. I stumbled into a deathclaw nest southwest of Bitter Springs, near some train cars and my character, along with Boone and an ED-E with upgraded weapons must have killed about 8 deathclaws and a couple cazadores in just a couple of minutes I was like "HOLY SHIT, BOONE!!" :bowdown:
By the way, I ended up putting a shishkabob in Boone's inventory, now that's all he uses.

I liked using my energy weapons (maxed for my one play through) with the perk or whatever called "bloody mess" I just roamed around turning everything I saw into a pile of meat! It got old pretty fast though. Probably why I lost interest in the game. But the V.A.T.S. targeting and slow-mo headshots never did get old even after also playing FO3.
is there a date for this release??
