Bill Clinton today said it would be difficult to continue on if she loses Texas.

yup. Almost everybody thinks the superdelegates are going to be the difference makers. I think they are too but in a different way people have mentioned before...the superdelegates (i.e. Senators, Congressmen, Governors, former Presidents, former Ambassadors, etc.) are going to urge the Hilary to drop out if she can't win where her camp as planted "must win" flags. This nomination is Barack's to lose. I don't see him dropping out of the race, anymore. It just doesn't make sense. At worst, he is going to be slightly behind Hillary at the convention.

I don't see super delegates going against the pledged delegate vote. They are mostly elected officials and they do have to answer for their vote in future elections. If this goes beyond June it's because they are trying to figure out how to come to terms on seating michigan and florida, that will be if they do caucuses or another election paid for by both campaigns. And then after that what the total says it all and the super delegates will carry the closest to the line over.
:2 cents:

This race is Obama to lose only if he makes a stupid mistake.

The only way Mrs. Clinton can win outright is to win by 65% or more in Ohio, Texas or PA, I can't see this happen.

I was shocked even Teamster endorses Obama. I mean Jimmy Hoffa, Jr. is a smart dude and he saw the writings on the wall, Obama will be the next President so I hope the 1.8 million Teamster members will jump on board with Hoffa Jr.

I don't think Mrs. Hillary Clinton will take the VP spot. She "was" the First Lady for 8 years and the Yankee senator from New York. She will "NOT" be a "YES" man as VP for the next 4 years !!

Obama Calls Plagiarism Flap ‘Best of Times, Worst of Times’
Tells Hillary: ‘Nobody Puts Baby in a Corner’

Democratic presidential candidate Barack Obama responded today to Sen. Hillary Clinton’s charge that he plagiarized a speech, saying of the controversy, “It was the best of times, it was the worst of times.”

Mr. Obama’s somewhat cryptic remark came at a fundraiser in Houston in which he dared his rival to tell the truth about the brouhaha, declaring, “You can’t handle the truth!”

The Illinois senator also told his supporters that Mrs. Clinton was trying to use the plagiarism allegations to back him into a corner, but warned, “Nobody puts Baby in a corner.”

Mr. Obama’s last remark raised eyebrows, in no small part because people were puzzled as to why he had suddenly referred to himself as “Baby.”

But the Illinois senator, who exhorted the crowd at the fundraiser to “show me the money,” seemed dismissive of Mrs. Clinton’s accusations, later telling MSNBC’s Andrea Mitchell, “Frankly, my dear, I don’t give a damn.”

Professor Davis Logsdon, who studies plagiarism in the speeches of presidential candidates at the University of Minnesota’s School of Public Oratory, says that accidental plagiarism can often occur in the hurried atmosphere of a political campaign: “As Obama himself has often said, he feels the need… the need for speed.”

For his part, Mr. Obama seems to have moved past the controversy altogether, greeting his audience at a campaign rally in El Paso with his trademark welcome: “Ladies and gentlemen, I’m Johnny Cash.”

Elsewhere, President George W. Bush said that while he recognized Kosovo, he could not recognize Kosovo on a map.

You've got to be kidding me. Remember the 2000 general election? Al Gore won the election but yet the Justices picked George Bush. A similar situation will happen here where the super delegates will choose Hilary.

The judges made a decision based on constitutional law with a fucked up electoral college system that is still in effect. If you want to make that comparison then the situation now would be popular vote for Obama and the most pledged delegates for Hillary and the super delegates push Hillary over the top. Which I see being more likely of an outcome than someone with the most votes and most pledged delegates losing the election to super delegates overturning that.

The justices didn't have elections to win in the future based on popular vote the same way super delegates do. Super delegates have to answer for what they do in future elections, and they know that democratic voters are pissed off enough as it is from the conspiracy theories of 2000 (just or unjust).

I just find it hilarious that Nader is back in the election. What a narcissistic asshole. :2 cents:

Obama and Clinton got to get together to figure how to stop this hemorrhage (waste) of votes on November 4 because the asshole Nader returns !

McCain: Lobbyist Did Not ***** Me into Positions
Would Not Try Out New Positions at His Age, Mac Says

One day after The New York Times published an article raising ethical questions about Sen. John McCain’s dealings with lobbyist Vicki Iseman, the Arizona senator pushed back today at a press conference in Cleveland, telling reporters, “Vicky Iseman did not ***** me into any positions.”

Calling suggestions that Ms. Iseman could make him assume a different position “ridiculous,” Sen. McCain said, “At my age, I’m not about to try out new positions that I’m uncomfortable with.”

While Mr. McCain was vague about his official dealings with Ms. Iseman, he told reporters, “I would not allow a lobbyist to perform any favor for me unless it felt really, really good.”

The Republican frontrunner said that neither he nor Ms. Iseman had been aware that The New York Times was conducting an investigation into their relationship, adding, “Vicki and I have been in the dark together for a long time.”

But he vehemently defended the lobbyist’s professionalism, telling reporters, “Vicki Iseman is an energetic and passionate woman who has bent over backwards to please me.”

Early reaction to Sen. McCain’s comments was mixed, with some Republicans wondering whether he had done himself more harm than good.

But Mr. McCain did receive high marks from at least one Senate colleague, Sen. Larry Craig (R-Id.).

“I called John today to offer him my encouragement,” Sen. Craig said. “I said, ‘It’s hard, and it’s going to get harder, but stick it out.’”

Bush to endorse John McCain

"WASHINGTON - It's not good to keep President Bush waiting. But John McCain did on Wednesday. Bush joked with reporters and laughed and turned left and right as he waited for the Republican presidential nominee-in-waiting to show up at the White House for a promised endorsement.

McCain finally showed up and the two men went inside for lunch. "He's going to win," Bush said. He shook hands with McCain and kissed his wife, Cindy, on the cheek.

That will really sway people to vote for McCain won't it?:1orglaugh
GWB is now setting records for low aprroval ratings,I hope he campaigns for McCain too, keep reminding folks of what you will be continuing by voting for McCain is something I think helps dems quite a bit.

. . . then they went inside, met with the new supreme court, inspected the fleet of new diebold voting machines, and met with mccains new running mate: dick cheney.

Obama had a bad night last night. I suppose he had a bad week---the Resko thing, the Canadian "NAFTA" thing (nonstory)....and Hillary's effective "Red Phone" ad.

I think Hillary's decision to run that ad proved nothing more then a desperate last-ditch effort to win Ohio (fear the white working class into **********)...but it is not a wise political move in the end.

I have a feeling Obama will turn his guns on her and crank up the negative ads in retaliation. He might get a "white water greatest hits" ad ready...or a somewhat nasty ad linking Hillary with Wall Street and Rubber stamping the war (since she refuses to apologize for her support)....

The problem is...there's 7 weeks until Pennsylvannia? Yikes. That's a long time to burn money trying to secure the nomination...

Why would anybody want an endorsement from that incompetent? When I look into McCain's dark eyes I see a dead stair; a person who does not deserve to be running this country. All us young blokes should be concerned about being drafted because if he gets his way....you know how the tune goes... :(

 Should we start taking bets on who this power-freak picks as his running mate? I got dibs on... *gasp*...Jeb Bush.

Don't know exactly the diffrences between Obama and Hillry but I want the next US President to be a Democrat.
