And it's very true, christians will quote scripture from the old testament constantly, like when they use adam n eve as examples of man and woman. They quote it when they say that god is against homosexuality.

The entire concept is archaic. If it were illegal to discuss religion with your child until they are 15 only about 3% of the population would be christians and we all know who those people would be. The ONLY reason that you believe in all of it is because you were raised to believe it and not question it, which is true for most christians. most don't even know much about it or why they believe.

if you spent more time questioning why you believe in it, which you certainly should because of how little evidence there is, instead of why others don't you would be far less likely to call yourself a believer. To question is to KNOW.

I merely discuss what Christians believe and why they believe it.. I am not wearing my faith on my sleeve around here or any place for that matter. The nuances of various religions cannot be understood from Biblical or Qu'ran excerpts . And I don't fault anyone that is an atheist. I will however take exception when they put out misinformation especially when they quote the Old Testament in an attempt to make Christianity appear to be archaic.

Yet you ignore that there are many different Christians that don't cherry pick as much as you. You claim it's misinformation but have yet to prove it. I've backed up my statements while you hide behind this ridiculous idea that all Christians see the bible as you do which clearly isn't the case given many say the OT doesn't apply yet they still use the Ten Commandments. Appear archaic? Plenty of modern day Christians have to and want to mold very old dogma to fit their comfortable modern lives. Everyone lives their life full of sin. That much is fact. Anyone who is a true Christian will know that and OWN that. The basis of Christianity is Gods forgiveness and tolerance of our bullshit. Thats why Jesus died, was to take the fall for our sinning so we could avoid going to hell. So do I need to worry about hell? Nope. Does that mean I get a free pass to do whatever the fuck I want? Hell no. I do the best that I can. My job as a camgirl and entertaining men for a living, is definitely something that I deem controversial in my faith, and I do it because its my job... but a lot of Christians partake in careers that conflict with Gods law (police officers/military running the risk of killing others for example) We do what we have to do, we do the best that we can with what we're given. Its hypocritical when "Christians" act like they live a pure life, or think that their shit doesn't stink, but behind closed doors they sin like its going out of style. But when you can own your sin, be straight and be like "I suck" ...and believe in Christs forgiveness, then you can live your life freer. (is that a word? lol)

Thats just my experience anyways. Take it for what you will. For the record, I believe that EVERYONE gets the same grace and forgiveness. I can't stand seeing stupid fucking people being bigoted in the name of Christ. The bible clearly teaches that God is love. That means everyone. And I agree with whomever brought up the fact that the Old Testament is pretty much obsolete. Once Christ hit the earth, the rules changed a bit. Jesus did away with the Ten Commandments and said there were only two laws to follow - Love the Lord God, and love thy neighbor. Easy. Most Christians struggle with the second one though. "Loving thy neighbor" covers pretty much everything the ten commandments covered, but allows for more tolerance and acceptance. Jesus was best friends with the prostitute remember? Actually, Jesus was put on earth BECAUSE Mary cheated on Joseph and lied about it to avoid getting stoned for adultery. The bible uses Jesus' life and death as a blood sacrifice (originally used on goats which created the popular term "scapegoat") to absolve humanity (at least the people he lived with because he clearly didn't care about ancient Africans or Americans) from sin. Of course, that didn't happen and the middle east is still very violent. You seem to think that Christians don't apply a lot of the very violent and hateful bible to their belief system. They only apply the Jesus myth when they wanna look moral.
