Similarly, the reasons they don't stay on:

Having to put a bandage on a place where the skin moves.
-AND-
Getting ointment on the bandage, causing it to not stick.

I do love the word "ointment" though.

Really, as long as the skin surface is dry and absent of oil etc., they stay on anywhere you apply them . . . 'till you remove them .
