Usually, someone has started a new thread by the second week of January to get into the recruiting season. Anyhow, here we go...

Just over a month away! Looking forward to some great week 1 matchups:

TCU @ Minnesota
Alabama vs Wisconsin
Arizona State vs Texad A&M
THE Ohio State University @ Va Tech

dont start none... wont be none.............:chickendance: (if you dont i am) lol J/K ROLLLLL TIDEEEEEE

Should be a great season ahead...apart from the window of opportunity closing on Oregon. Oh well, so it goes :(

I'm liking BYU at Nebraska in week 1
and Washington plus the points at Boise State.

TCU and OSU roll. Alabama beats Wisconsin.

well we got rid of the interception machine. thing is we lost Cooper to..... if not for big D H we would about be starting over on offense. defense should be pretty good. of all years a cupcake for a start would have been nice. Wisconsin will bring the kitchen sink.

Well SEC fans, you had a good run. You still have CBS to tell you how great you are but I don't think that anybody else is buying it anymore. Last year the PAC-12 took over as the best conference and this year you may not have the SEC West to prop up as the toughest division. That just might be the Big Ten East. We all know about Ohio St. and Sparty but Penn St. continues to get better, and Michigan will get better. The only perceived weak link is Indiana and I would take them over an SEC bottom feeder any day. Rutgers and Maryland aren't great teams but they proved that they aren't pushovers either.

I think that Dantonio has Sparty poised right where he wants them to be. Everybody knows that they are going to be really good, but nobody thinks that they can win the division. Dantonio thrives in those situations. If the Defense can stay even in the top 15 in the country and the WR's come into their own they could make the playoffs this year.

Certainly not out of the realm of possibility that Sparty comes down here and wins in November.

Out of the big games my Buckeyes won down the stretch, between Sparty, that school up North, Penn St, Wisconsin, Alabama and Oregon, Sparty was by FAR the most physical.

Final 4 predictions?

Ohio State
TCU
Georgia
USC

Ohio State - Most likely. Mich State is the only team with a legit shot at beating them.

TCU - They don't play a conference championship and that hurts them more than anyone will admit. They'll have to go undefeated for an invite to the final 4.

Georgia - Over the past several years, the Bulldogs have been one of the most talented teams in the SEC and the nation, but they have one problem; coaching. Mark Richt can recruit as well if not better than anyone, including Saban. However, on the football field, on his best day as a coach, Richt is never more than mediocre. He reminds me of Pat Dye.

USC - You must have suffered a head injury on this one. It's not gonna happen.

My beloved Hawkeyes are imploding. Players transferring left and right; a head coach who's too conservative, even for Iowa. Not to mention he's the highest paid state employee and he's got a contract through 2020. There's talk of biting the bullet and just firing his ass if they win less than eight games but I'll believe it when I see it.

At least Hatin' Ass Spurrier will be showing up on EveryDayShouldBeSaturday pretty soon and that's always good for a laugh.

Hatin' Ass Spurrier is a parody. It is basically Spurrier not giving one solid fuck and saying whatever he wants about anybody. It's hilarious.

Three lullabies in an ancient tongue
I wish I could do some early chest-pounding but my favorite schools (The U, Texas and Mizzou) all have serious question marks going into the season. Pinkel almost always has Mizzou performing over their heads so don't think they'll be pushovers in the SEC East this year by any stretch. Still, they will have an uphill climb to reach their 3rd straight division title. Charlie Strong is in his second year as HC and after a painful first campaign that saw a lot of attrition, I see the program headed in the right direction but until or unless we can find a QB that is capable of completing a forward pass on a semi-consistent basis, I don't see the 'Horns being serious contenders in the Big 12 unless Jonathan Gray has a Heisman-like season and the defense plays out of their minds. I hope I'm wrong. We'll be good, likely not great. As far as The U goes, their talent level should be catching up with the self-imposed sanctions that decimated the program over the past few seasons....I'm just not convinced that Al Golden is the man for the job. Kaaya is a terrific talent as a sophomore QB and has some excellent weapons around him but we lost a lot of players from last season. Losing Duke Johnson is especially painful. We have a tough schedule in an underrated conference that should create formidable obstacles to success for my 'Canes.

Still, hope springs eternal when everyone starts with a clean slate. Only a few weeks away now....ahhh, there's nothing like college football!!!

Here it goes again.....:suicide:

yep :1orglaugh

But...if they get past the Ducks in week 2...and I give them the slight edge...their schedule is such that imo they should be 10 and 0 going into the showdown with OSU on Nov. 21

Yeah I know I just jinxed you a little more. Sorry about that, MD :D

I wouldn't think so either but just about all the books have them favored to win the Pac 12 :dunno:
If they can manage that with only one loss they'll probably get a playoff spot. Seems like a mighty big if, though.

For that to happen,

The rest of the PAC 12 has to fall off a lot more than I think.
The Trojans have to play above their heads all year.
The Trojans get some divine help.

Sure, it could happen, but I just think it will be next year when things really start heating up for them.
