Just got back from watching Ireland Italy game. As an Ireland fan I was so let down by the 2-2 draw but that's why Italy are world champions.

The USA had a great week and a miserably week. They qualified for the World Cup but they loose 2 starters. Davies is definitely out for the World Cup and Onyewu got injured last night and he might miss the World Cup.

I have to admit that the Finland game a few days ago was truly boring. But I'm not mad at the team, because we already made it and Finland not. The German fans booing in the stadium were just typically German - some Germans always need something to nag.

The Americans are currently #11 in FIFA's latest rankings. We are headed to WC2010 however we have suffered 2 significant injuries---the Gooch blew out his knee and Charlie Davies was a passanger in a horrific auto accident and suffered career-threatening injuries.

It looks like neither player will be fit for the World Cup....

I had no idea that Gooch was a Milan player and Charlie Davies was (apparently) earning actual raves from the Sochaux coaching staff...
