Sanchez hurt his knee and missed a big chunk of football camp last year. He still came back in time and lit up Virginia in last year's opener, on the road too.

Unless Corp's injury is worse than I think it is, he's still #1. Barkley sounds like the real deal, but I think USC has mastered "player hype" at this point....:1orglaugh

Let's see the goods on the field first.

But, from what I hear, Matt Barkley has been playing great in practice. So great in fact, it would not be a surprise if he was the starter and not Corp.

It'll be interesting to see how USC's freshman QB plays.

When it comes to freshman QB's, there are two polar opposites- Sam Bradford and Ron Powlus.

I was watching some of his pratice throws(Barkley) and he seems to have really good form and the coaching staff says he is or has the composer of a senior I think it is just a big build up but we will see:thumbsup:

I very concerned about the post above me:confused:And the one above that further lets me know to never attend an Ohio State game or even visit the state.Just kidding Lets get this season started :scream:

VT Hokies lost their starting RB for the season (ACL tear). How big of an impact does this have on their opener with Bama?

I know your hoping this has a big impact being an alabama fan but I don't know if this changes the game or not? I have no idea who I am going to take in that game yet?

I hate to see an injury take a kid out, and I also hate to win when a team isn't a full strength... I'm jsut wondering how good the back-ups to Evans are. he was a workhorse last season once he started playing.

Is it me or does there seam to be in inordinate amount of big games on neutral fields this year?

Of course you have Texas v Oklahoma but there is Va Tech/Alabama in the Georgia Dome, Illinois/Missouri in St. Louis, Texas A&M/Arkansas in Dallas, Ohio State/Toledo in Cleveland. (I know thats not a big one, bt the Rockets did beat Michigan last year)

Others?

I think the reason for these games on neutral sites...$$$$$$$ I believe Washington State vs Notre Dame is in Dallas or Houston, Notre Dame v Navy is somewhere in the midatlantic, and I think they were trying to put another Wazzu game in Seatle..maybe the Apple Cup?
