Now how about Tampa winning it all kinda like the Celtics run, from worst to first.I have missed some of the action due to work, but I have been watching the Rays for the past couple of years put together a great nucleus of players. Imagine if Josh Hamilton had never succumbed to ***** and was released: Crawford, Upton and Hamilton would have been an outstanding outfield offensively and defensively. I love the idea of a Phillies/Rays World Series.
Well, it's gonna take a miracle for that to happen.
3-0 Phils already. Billingsley done.
Manny goes deep. Could this be the start of a rally?
I sure fucking hope so.
This is the most frusturating baseball I have ever watched.
I am about ready to **** Black DeWitt.

Only two words can describe Martin, Ethier, and DeWitt in the NLCS, EPIC FAILURE. DeWitt prefers grounding into double plays instead of actually getting hits, and what can you say about the "clean up" hitters Martin and Ethier? 
Manny did all he could, maybe even a little more. With the exception of Ramirez and Casey Blake, the whole team pretty much failed us. Well, I guess I can't be too upset because in reality they overachieved, but the way they lost is painful.

Those 3 are perfect examples of players trying to do to much and trying to do more then they are capable.
Furcal didnt help much either. Not only was his defense horrendous, but so was his offense.
Get your facts straight. Every playoff game in the Trop has been a sell out. If you are seeing portions of the upper deck empty, it's because the owners realize those seats suck and have decided not to sell them...those are tarped and not empty.
If you are talking about the Boston fans in attendance, they're everywhere and they have an equal shot at buying the tickets as anyone in the Tampa area.
And I don't want to hear anyone rag on the mohawks anymore. Did you see those Boston loser fans who did the reverse mohawk? Yeah, that worked out well. Good job "reversing" the ass kicking you guys got from the night before. I bet those guys felt like assholes going into work the next day after a 13-2 clubbing.
This series is not over. Tampa still needs to win one game but I am so sick of the disrespect the Rays get. If you find their style of baseball boring, than quit calling yourself a baseball fan. They play solid defense, can run the bases, hit for power and have great pitching. What more do you want? How can you say it is boring?
Actually, here is a question to everyone who says the Phillies-Rays series would be boring....which teams would you like to see? What two teams would be so exciting to watch and why? And if anyone says the Yankees, **** up! They're the most boring team in MLB in my opinion.

When the Tampa Bay Lightning won the Stanley Cup, they had to go through the Philadelphia Flyers.

See the trend? Tampa is the last team any Philadelphia fan wants to play in a major playoff game.

A) The fact that it took until the playoffs for Tampa Bay "fans" to start attending their games, just goes to show how fair weather they truly are.
B) Those seats are tarped because their attendance record shows that nobody would've bought tickets for them anyway. It has nothing to do with them being bad seats.
Most people don't watch baseball to see small ball being played. Most people watch baseball because they want to see big time, flashy plays being made and gigantic homeruns being hit. I have a huge passion for baseball so I don't, personally, mind it...but watching baseball, especially on TV, is boring to most people that I know. If you're a true baseball fan, you probably already know that though.
I would like to see my favorite team in the World Series, as would everybody else. That's kind of a moot question, IMO.
Out of the teams who made the playoffs this year though, I think that Boston vs. Chicago (NL) would've made the best series. They might not have been the "best teams", per say, but it would've been a series fueled by history and passion. Personally, I looooove series like that.
Tampa Bay vs. Philadelphia has not "heat" to it at all. It's just two random ass teams that happened to make the World Series. There's no story at all, except for Tampa Bay being the Cinderella team. How fun is that? :dunno:
