2007 MLB Thread

Congratulations to Craig Biggio. He deserves a place in the Hall of Fame. He is a winner who played the game right. Good work.

Under=rated the guy started out as a catcher, then 2nd base.then of,then back to 2nd base....the only crap is HE stayed w/ the ASTROS.that organization UNDER-RATED HIM!~

Carlos Delgado, Sept. 22

We've got so much talent I think sometimes we get bored.

There's your collapse, right there in that quote.

More like 'we've got so much money sometimes we get bored'.
Gimme a break, Delgado. There's no excuse for not approaching each game with intensity and passion.

Sorry about the Mets, Senob. And the last day of the season, no less.

(thanks for the confirm on the D-backs)

Now! on the other note..Does anyone really want to face the Phillies?

*raises hand*
I would :)
You gotta know some kind of meltdown is right around the corner lol
I still remember Curt Shilling putting a towel over his head each time Mitch Williams took the mound in the '93 series - and as it turned out for good reason lol

But congrats to the Phils for getting this far!

WOW!.do you really wish to speak melt-down? Mets and Glavine? great pitcher great guy.melt-down YES..........has Glavine ever really done well when it comes to closing it out? Wow ATLANTA won how many WS's? c'mon
Do you really want to point one finger?

^
I'm not sure I'm following your post?
While it's true the Braves world series to division champioinship ratio totally sucks, I don't see how you can lay that so pointedly at Glavine's doorstep. The guy has won a whole lot of clutch games over the years. And no, I'm not just pointing one finger. We all know the Cubs & Sox have & had much longer histories of futility than the Phillies. My point was that the Phillies have been a long time from the well, and often under circumstances that have given their fans PTSD (lol), and I don't expect that to change this year.

Oh, yeah...in case anyone cares about why my Brewers lost...

It's because I pledged (along with many thousands of others) to pee my pants if they made the playoffs.

TBS really screwed the Cubbies by scheduling the broadcast times for 9:00 PM. Talk radio was blowing up about it today, how the "Yanks and the Sawx" got the good time slots. Gonna be some tired folks around these parts.

Well, the Rockies have completed their improbable run for the playoffs! I just think it is unbelieveable. Though, much to IAF's pleasure, I doubt they will make it far in the playoffs. Though it is hard to doubt this team; it's cliche, but they just find ways to win.

momentum means a lot. and thankfully, nobody in the american league has it. the yankees, red sox, and indians all finished 6-4 in their last ten. the angels, even worse. go yankees!

Could be worse. Back in '99 the Mets had to play Arizona at 11:00 p.m. eastern.
