Well .. tonight, 9/30, I'm officially retired. Thanks to Trump's and Musk's "push" earlier in the year, I took the Voluntary Resignation Program, and have been on a paid vacation since 5/5. Well .. Administrative Time, actually. Therefore, still accruing sick and vacation time on said Admin Time. But, I digress..
I checked local stores, and BJ's Club had the cheapest price for filet mignon. Picked up 2 lbs. (!) of it (4 pieces), and a .. 14-pack (!) of 7 types of cheesecake. Already had the other fixins at home.
Suppertime: over an 8 ounce filet mignon over charcoal on the grill; fresh garden salad with Texas Toast croutons and Ken's Steak House Peppercorn Ranch dressing, a slice of 5-Cheese Texas Toast bread; half a bottle (!) of Robert Mondavi 2015 Napa Valley Cabernet Savignon, and for dessert - a slice of white chocolate raspberry cheesecake and a slice of turtle cheesecake for dessert.
