However crappy the houses there are they aren't as bad as where I live. The house was built in the 60's and is falling apart, but the landlord won't pay for professional repairs. Instead, whenever something stops working he comes over and Mickey Mouses the shit out of everything. I really want to leave the Bay Area, but this is where I can get steady work. I tried looking for a touring gig with Cirque du Soleil, but they aren't hiring right now. Dammit.
$750 for a 3-bedroom house?!? What the hell am I still doing in California?!? I pay $600, plus utilities, for a shitty room in a shitty house in the armpit of the Bay Area! I have a friend who's paying $900 a month for a 9'x9' room in a tiny apartment in SF!
So... what's Louisville like this time of year?
