  • Are there any good breweries over there? My hardcore hard liquor-drinking days are pretty much over, and I've become a beer snob. I mean, I'll still have the occasional cocktail or six on a special occasion, but that's about it. I remember when I used to down half a Costco-sized bottle of Jack Daniel's in one night, or kill a fifth of tequila by myself. Hell, when I was in middle school my friends and I would sometimes start drinking on Friday when we got out of school, and keep drinking straight through Monday morning when it was time to go back to school. Those were the days. I must be getting old. :(
The gondola ride sounds like a nice place for a date, but I don't think we'll be going. Honduran-born Chinese guys really aren't my type.
What's Zumanity about? I've heard of it, but I don't know what the premise is. Not that it really matters with Cirque; I've seen about 9 productions (most of them for that girl I told you about's birthdays), and most of them have acts that could be interchangeable between productions. The exception was last year's Ovo. That show was about bugs, the center of the story is an egg, and the music is Latin-flavored. I wanna see O because it features automation technology literally not used anywhere else (hello?!? The stage comes out of the water!). Love I wanna see because the Beatles are my favorite group.

I think the music restaurant you mentioned should adopt parts of a joke some of my coworkers were talking about once. They were talking about starting a new band called Mötley Stew, with the lead singer being Minced Veal, and their first hit would be Dr. Vealgood. :D
    Ok, take 2!

We haven't really set a date for when we're going yet. In fact, about as far as our planning got was that we agreed we should go to Vegas this summer. That's usually how we plan things: we'll say we'll do something, sometime, and then suddenly decide we're gonna do it that weekend. We finally took a road trip to LA in February that we had been talking about for months, but, when it came down to it, we only actually planned about 48 hours before we actually went.

That place where the waiters are assholes sounds like an interesting deviation from the normal "Yes, sir! Anything you want, sir!" attitude everywhere else. If I wasn't a stagehand already, I would like to work at a place where you can be rude to customers. I hate having to put on a smile when someone is being a prick. One of the reasons why I like my job so much is because we don't have to deal with the public, and we're complete assholes to each other half the time.
Ok, so I just typed out a lengthy response, but my phone erased it when I hit 'submit'. Dammit! I hate this thing! I'll have to get on the computer and retype it. :lame:
I need your advice/opinion. A friend and I are fixing to go to Vegas, but I've never really been there. I mean, I went with my parents when I was, like, 9, and that trip sucked because I couldn't be anywhere except the arcade at Circus Circus, but I've never been there as an adult. He's been there before, so he has his favorite spots, but we tend to have differing opinions when it comes to entertainment (he likes rap, I loathe it; he likes watching comedy shows, I like watching live music). So my question is what would you recommend I should see or do? I know I wanna go watch O and Love, the Cirque du Soleil shows (one perk of being a stagehand is that I can use the expensive tickets as a tax write-off because I'm studying new technologies used in my craft :D), but besides that I have no idea what else to do. Any suggestions? :helpme:
Hey gorgeous, wish you a wonderful weekend. Hope the moving process isn't stressing you too much.
How are you doing, Been along time hope you are doing well. So are you done with your x hubby yet? Hope to hear from you soon.
    Sounds exciting... :bs:

You might also get the smells on a plane. I flew to Texas in February, and on the way back the people sitting right behind me thought it prudent to change their baby's shitty diapers right there instead of going to the bathroom to do it. Then they got all offended when the stewardess asked them to do that in the bathroom. People...

Anyways, my intoxicated state is quickly dissipating into what is commonly known as a hangover, and the headache is starting to kick in, so I'm gonna get some sleep now. Good night!
What if you start a fundraiser in the Talk section? If we can have porn stars asking for money to pay for their phone bill we can have a fundraiser for you and your brother. You just have to say that in exchange for people's generous donations you'll send them your dirty laundry. It's true! There are many perverts on this forum who would pay for some girl's dirty bra or underwear. Use that to your advantage: you would get airfare AND you wouldn't have to do laundry that week. It's win-win, baby! :hybrid:
You're taking a Greyhound from Nevada to Kentucky?!? Yuck! Good grief, girl, haven't you heard of those thingamajigs that travel through the air and take people far away in a short time? I believe they're called aeroplanes. You might wanna look into it. ;)

My grandma also looks into things farther than she has to. She thinks people are always against her. It's exhasperating at times.
I just got done with U2. That run was really exhausting! Proof of that is that earlier when I posted the message I was trolling the Talk section, and I passed out on my phone, and I just woke up again. :1orglaugh Tomorrow I'm tearing down Apple's WWDC, and my run is over. Thank dawg! I need a vacation!

Sorry to hear you're stressed. Moving always sucks. When I was growing up my dad's job would move us between Mexico and the US every few years. That was always stressful. When is the big move happening?

Helping old people with their lives is always stressing. They get engrained into their routine and changing it is not an easy thing. Hang in there. :)
You should see the countryside, that's where the true beauty is, oh and the lakes!
You have a swimmingpool? Now I'm jealous! My day has been quite unproductive. Been playing all day, and at seven I went out for a walk. I couldn't help, but to admire the Swedish nature. I think that you'd like it.
