Yes, you have to have a tough skin to be able to hang on forums like this. You have to be super tough just to work in porn. But it doesn't mean that that's the way it SHOULD be, it's def not the kind of environment I enjoy on forums I frequent. Most porn forums treat the actual porn performers like **** until they leave. They're all basically hostile, rude, mean sausage parties. Maybe some people enjoy arguing on forums and think we should just "shut up and give it back" but that's not my idea of a good time and def not why I come here.- - - Updated - - -

I know what the new rules say, I read them! I have also been around, I know what the actual practice will be! You have seen it yourself in the rusults of the Miss FO contest! These admin are not going to raise a finger against an OCSM, to correct them or be punitive in any measure. They are terrified of losing OCSM's, because the forum might stop if the OCSM's leave. I have already seen this behavior in the last three months. I have absolutely no doubt that it will not only continue, but escalate.
I'm sure you've also seen people ****** OCSMs. There's a few people who've had unplanned vacations recently, folks who went out of their way to harass a few specific OCSMs, and previously that wouldn't have happened. So maybe things are changing. As little as a month ago it was like there wasn't any rules at all. Now, well, the punishments may not be much, the bans may be short, but we've seen something. If it's happening on one side of the fence it might happen on the other as well. Can't say until we see some... well, misbehavin'.
And no, you're never going to see equality. Shouldn't either. We're not equal. The OCSMs provide content. They provide a reason for people to come here. They get traffic. So yeah, if rules are upheld they'll likely see a lesser penalty, but previously no one saw any. So, hey, we could be looking at progress.
Seen it, and don't agree with it, but that's not the same thing. That person isn't even an OCSM, as they don't post. They did for awhile, in a limited fashion, but they were already driven away well before Miss FreeOnes. Why did that get a pass? Probably not because of the person in particular. Maybe it was because of who was backing them. Maybe it was just the FO team being lax with the rules. Maybe it was a lot of things. I don't agree with the call, but it's unrelated to what we're seeing here, and wasn't even made my the same people. That was the FO Team at work, here we're looking at moderators.
I also forsee it having a negative impact on the OCSM's as well, because the normal members know there is no equality, that will inevitably prevent many of these OCSM's from recruiting new fans because normal members will be so concerned about "walking on eggshells" with the stars that it will discourage them from looking for new, or to other threads. I know that I am already pruning my area of involvement on this forum as well as severely lowering the number of OCSM's I bother to interact with. In fact, this does have the potential to prevent new "regular" people from joining the forum, and convincing some here now, to leave. If things trend that way, the only people on the forum will be the OCSM's. And as for your "only the OCSM's provide content," define what you mean by content! Furthermore, if nobody is around but the OCSM's, to whom are they providing content? Things are not as unrelated as you believe them to be.
To some extent this will happen, yes. Mostly it's going to be people who are already aggressive and know they might fall into a proverbial pit because of it. Meaning it's mostly going to be problem people. Several of them get along fine with other OCSMs, and might even potentially be customers for them. It's a juggling act. Is this going to be the right balance? Maybe, maybe not. All of the people who've been "******" (suspended really) are already back. So the punishments aren't severe, even on the end of the average poster (and at least one of them was way out of line). So who knows, give it time and we might find out this is the right spot, or maybe that things need to go further in one direction or the other.
What we know for sure is this; things weren't working before. The board was losing OCSMs, and barring a couple the remainders weren't happy with the situation, some threatening to leave, others cutting back their interaction, and pretty much none of them giving the board good word of mouth to potentially draw in other prospects.
Maybe what we have now isn't it, but what we had definitely wasn't. So... gotta try something new. It's that simple.
Pics, vids and interaction. Frequently stuff beyond sample galleries. Stuff you generally can't get on any other board. By content I mean worthwhile content. The main draw here isn't witty banter with fellow regular posters, you can find that just about anywhere.
Well, I believe this, also, isn't it. And I have already witnessed too much to look at things through the same rose colored glasses that you are using. But, whatever, you clearly adamantly refuse to bend to realism, that's fine.
I have seen plenty of content get added to many threads on this forum. Content does not mean exclusively, promotional material for one OCSM's site or another's. That kind of "content" is promotional advertising anyway, same as what is on the main site. It is still all oriented to attract new subscribers to respective websites. That is a very limited definition of content.

I am being realistic. We won't know how this effects things until it plays out a bit. We haven't seen that yet. All we've seen is that the system that was in place was poison. Might this be worse poison? Maybe. Maybe not. That's realism. What's not realistic is sticking to the same poisonous system that wasn't working.
You can find random sample galleries posted anywhere, just like you can find random chat anywhere. What makes this board relatively unique is the group of OCSMs. Many of them have posted fan signs, candid pics, custom pics, requests, etc.. Stuff that's not just sitting around on the main site, nor on other boards. That makes this a tool for them to reach out and find new fans, and a tool for people here to find them. Take that away? It's a porn board, and there are many others.
So what do you think makes this board special? Random people posting? Sections for random chat or off-topic posting? A sub-form form for specific fetishes? If it's not the OCSMs, then what is it? What's the draw for FreeOnes?
